SilverStone introduced a modular power supply Strider ST45SF-G form factor SFX

Power Supplies form factor SFX are usually positioned as solutions for office and HTPC systems, that is why its design is often monotonous. In this regard, a new block of SilverStone Strider ST45SF-G stands out from the competition with detachable cables in a nylon sheath and colored in black casing.

Despite its compact dimensions (125x100x63, 5 mm), power supply produces up to 450 watts of constant power at an efficiency of 88% to 92% in the networks of 230 V. It is noteworthy that the kit includes an adapter to install Strider ST45SF-G in the chassis type Mid-Tower (ATX).

Cooling of PSU is provided by 80-mm fan with support for automatic speed control. In addition, the unit has active PFC, single cable PCI-E Power on (6 +2) and two contacts at the 6-pin. Allowed not more than three per cent of deviation from the standard voltage of +12 V, +5 V and +3.3 V.

The Release of AMD FX 8320 and FX 8300 Is Round the Corner

AMD is working intensely at the development of 8-core processors, the release of which is prognosticated for the 4th quarter of 2012. According to the preliminary data, AMD will release two models at once: FX 8320 and FX 8300. Such information could not but rejoice all customers using AMD FX processors on Bulldozer architecture, since the new CPUs are promised to be more efficient.
