Intel Core i7 CPUs are Already On Sale

Intel launched much talked-about CPU series of Broadwell-E generation, entitled Core i7. The items are based on 14-nm microarchitecture, targeting Socket LGA2011-v3 platforms. In order to integrate them within current lineup of mainboards on Intel X99 chipset, it’s vital to update BIOS.

The series includes 4 processors: a pair of 6-core, one 8-core, and one 10-core units. All of them support Hyper-Threading technology and feature 140 W TDP. Besides, the new-comers employ DDR4 controller that supports DDR4-2400 MHz memory modules.

CPU Intel Core i7-6800K houses 28 PCI Express rails. Thus, it does not support the creation of such graphics configurations as Nvidia SLI or AMD CrossFireX (x16+x16). The unit consists of 6 cores & 12 channels, running at 3.4/3.6 GHz clock frequency. It also accommodates 15 MB of L3 cache. Thus, the price tag makes up $434.

Intel Core i7-6850K features 6 cores, 12 streams & 15 MB cache. It operates at 3.6/3.8 GHz frequency. The price tag …

Elsa to Replenish the Line of Graphics Cards with GeForce GTX 670

Elsa Technology has announced the future release of its alternative version of graphics adapter Nvidia GeForce GTX 670. The new model is developed according to 28 nm technological process and employs GK104 chip with 1344 CUDA cores. It also boasts the implementation of advanced architecture, called Kepler. The major distinction of Elsa GeForce GTX 670 from its reference models is the integration of Silent Air Cooling technology (SAC).

This model is based on blue circuit board destined for PCI Express 3.0 x16 bus. Elsa graphics card is equipped with GDDR5 memory type (256 bit interface) and has got 2048 Mb of overall volume capacity. The backplate is assigned for a couple of DVI ports, a single HDMI, and one DisplayPort 1.2 port. This graphics adapter is compatible with DirectX 11 and employs Nvidia FXAA and Nvidia TXAA technologies for the improvement of imaging. It also supports Adaptive Vsync mode for more smooth games playback, as well as, Nvidia SLI, Nvidia 3D Vision, Nvidia …

Akasa Prepares Its Euler for Upcoming Release

Recent global IT exhibition Computex 2012 has given promising prospects for Akasa company that introduced its new brand chassis. Codenamed Euler, this chassis might serve the basis for the noiseless mini-PCs. Due to the implementation of aluminum casing in design and its simultaneous substitute of a radiator, this device is able to function along with passive cooling system.

Akasa representatives have provided the Internet community with the first shots of Euler. Those pictures demonstrate that the future product will consist of a block which will remove the excessive heat from the CPU and its surrounding components. The model will support devices which show up to 35W TDP index. This chassis will be compatible with motherboards of mini-ATX form-factor and low-capacity two-core processors.

According to the words of the company's representatives, Euler is going to be released this September. The price policy has not been voiced so far, but hardware specialists are certain …
