A New Swiftech’s Offer – Komodo NV-ECO GTX TITAN X Water Block

The Swiftech company, which produces liquid cooling system components, announced the full cover water block for the NVIDIA TITAN X video card market release. This new product was called Komodo NV-ECO GTX TITAN X, though, the “GTX” part is misplaced, as far as the actual card (unlike the old GM200 core TITAN X) on the GP102 chip doesn’t contain in its name the prefix GeForce GTX.

This cooler is produced out of C110 class chromed copper and acryl. The water unit dimensions are: 268(L) × 122(W) × 19(H) mm, weight — 1.247 kg.

There is a little protrusion in a contact plate according to the NVIDIA GP102 core shape, 0,5 mm thick thermal pads for heat rejection from power system transistors and GDDR5X memory chips. Note: Swiftech professionals have already inserted material lines, so users don’t have to do it themselves.

This cooler’s layout is rather simple, though the microplates array presence in the GPU area should be admitted.

HIS Boasts an Extraordinary R9 270X IceQ X2 Turbo Boost Clock Graphics Card

As an exclusive AMD’s partner, HIS has lately unveiled a new graphics card with an extraordinary design and unprecedented facilities. Codenamed R9 270X IceQ X2 Turbo Boost Clock, the model is characterized by an overclocked core frequency and the implementation of an efficient two-slot IceQ X2 cooler. The GPU is designed under Graphics Core Next architecture, supports the latest DirectX 11.2 technology and offers 2.5 times higher performance. Besides, it boasts some striking energy-efficiency, consuming 95% less power in idle mode.

HIS R9 270X IceQ X2 Turbo Boost Clock runs at 1100 MHz frequency (nominal) with the potential to rise up to 1140 MHz in Boost Clock mode. To compare, AMD’s reference model runs at 1000/1050 MHz frequency correspondingly.

The new card is furnished with 2 GB of GDDR5 video memory (256-bit interface) that operates at 5600 MHz frequency. It should be noted that the user is able to engage iTurbo technology in order to increase the clock …

They Did It! Official Release of AMD Radeon HD 7990 ‘Malta’

Much rumored reference graphics adapter from AMD has been recently officially introduced. As it was suggested before, Radeon HD 7990, codenamed ‘Malta’, employs two Tahiti XT2 GPUs, each of which contains 128 TMUs, 32 rasterization blocks (ROPs), and 2048 current processors (GCN architecture). Smooth work of both graphics cores is synchronized by means of PLX PEX8747 controller that supports 48 lines of PCI Express 3.0. Nominal clock frequencies ascribed to GPUs operation equal to 950 MHz, but Turbo mode enables the increase of frequencies up to 1000 MHz.

Video memory is represented by GDDR5 memory modules, the overall capacity of which equals to 6 GB (3 GB per each graphics core). Memory modules utilize 384-bit bus and run at 6000 MHz frequency with bandwidth of 288 Gb/sec per core. The incorporated PCB accommodates a single CrossFireX socket for the creation of various graphics configurations, including Quad-CrossFireX. Video interface panel boasts the availability of …
