PNY Debuts with GeForce GTX 750 and GTX 750 Ti Adapters

PNY, following an echelon of graphics cards manufacturers, has launched its own versions of Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 750 adapters. The PNY GeForce GTX 750 and PNY GeForce GTX 750 Ti are based on power-efficient Maxwell architecture that does not compromise on performance. Both new-comers operate at etalon frequencies and are thought to provide entry-level customers with some outstanding facilities. The preliminary retail price of models makes up $124 and $149 for GTX 750 and Ti version correspondingly.

The PNY GeForce GTX 750 employs GM107-300 GPU (512 CUDA cores), whereas the PNY GeForce GTX 750 Ti is equipped with GM107-400 GPU (640 CUDA cores). Both run at 1020 MHz (nominal) / 1085 MHz (boost) clock frequency. The products are differentiated also by the incorporation of video memory.

The first model involves 1 GB of GDDR5 memory; it uses 128-bit interface and runs at 1250 MHz (nominal) / 5000 MHz (efficient) frequency. At the same time, the second model involves 2 GB of …

Akasa Prepares Its Euler for Upcoming Release

Recent global IT exhibition Computex 2012 has given promising prospects for Akasa company that introduced its new brand chassis. Codenamed Euler, this chassis might serve the basis for the noiseless mini-PCs. Due to the implementation of aluminum casing in design and its simultaneous substitute of a radiator, this device is able to function along with passive cooling system.

Akasa representatives have provided the Internet community with the first shots of Euler. Those pictures demonstrate that the future product will consist of a block which will remove the excessive heat from the CPU and its surrounding components. The model will support devices which show up to 35W TDP index. This chassis will be compatible with motherboards of mini-ATX form-factor and low-capacity two-core processors.

According to the words of the company's representatives, Euler is going to be released this September. The price policy has not been voiced so far, but hardware specialists are certain …

Palit to Release a Pair of GTX 1060 Video Cards

Palit is enlarging its lineup of GeForce GTX 1060 adapters with a pair of new models. The GTX 1060 Dual 3GB and the GTX 1060 StormX 3G are developed on Nvidia GP106-300 GPUs (16 FinFet), featuring 1152 CUDA cores, 72 TMUs & 48 ROPs. It runs at 1506/1708 MHz frequency (standard/dynamic). Both models are accompanied by 3 GB of GDDR5 memory (192-bit bus) that operates at 2000/8000 MHz frequency (standard/efficient).

The key differentiation between the models lies in the cooling system. Palit GeForce GTX 1060 StormX 3G is equipped with a single fan, replenished with a main heatsink and an additional one, housed on the power circuit. In its turn, Palit Geforce GTX 1060 Dual 3GB is fitted with a voluminous rectangular heat spreader, three copper heat pipes as well as two fans. Thus, it’s an ideal choice for overclockers.

Both video cards employ a single 6-pin connector to draw power. They feature a high-quality hardware base which counts solid-state capacitors, DrMOS chips, …
