NEC Replenishes Its MultiSync Series with MD242C2 Monitor

NEC has replenished its product line with a new 24-inch monitor that joins MultiSync series. Codenamed MD242C2, the model is housed in a case of a rather strict design, featuring 556.8x227.6x378-528 mm dimensions. Upon the whole, this monitor positions itself as the most appropriate solution for medical establishments, providing for an accurate imaging.

Monitor NEC MD242C2 is based on IPS array with LED backlit and 12 ms response time (8 ms in Gray-to-Gray mode). Its operational resolution equals to 1920x1200 pixels, while the display aspect ratio makes up 16:10. Viewing angles, both vertical and horizontal, equal to 178 degrees, brightness achieves 350 cd/m2 and static contrast is estimated as 1000:1. NEC employs 14-bit look-up tables (LUT) to ensure proper color output and more accurate display of gray hues in blackened areas.

Greeting New PC Chassis ME880 from Delux

Delux Technology, a well-established manufacturer of PC hardware and peripherals, starts selling its new PC chassis, intended for budget-oriented gamers. Entitled Delux ME880, the model corresponds to ATX form-factor and features 410x192x435 mm dimensions. It supports all motherboards of ATX and micro-ATX standard, as well as a wide range of graphics solutions, due to the availability of seven PCI-slots in the rear section of the case. In order to meet some customers’ design requirements, this chassis will be available in three color variations: white, black and red.

ME880 is equipped with four external bays for the mounting of 5.25-inch drives. These bays, along with the bottom and side panels, are covered by a grid-like lid that ensures optimal ventilation and cooling down of all critical components. The internal layout presupposes PSU to be installed in the bottom part of the chassis; this positively affects cable management process, providing for a hassle-free access …

Nvidia Debuts with GeForce GTX 770 Graphics Adapter

Trailed by the flagship GeForce GTX 780 model, Nvidia officially launches one more high-performance graphics adapter of 700 series, codenamed GeForce GTX 770. Albeit the two products are rather similar in design (i.e. the incorporation of identical two-slot cooling system), their layout differs considerably. First of all, GTX 770 employs less efficient graphics core Nvidia GK104-425-A2 (28 nm) with 1536 CUDA cores, 128 TMUs, and 32 ROPs. At the same time this GPU operates at higher frequencies: 1046 MHz (nominal), 1085 MHz (dynamic).

Nvidia’s new entry comes either with 2 GB or 4 GB video memory modules of GDDR5 type. They employ 256-bit interface and ensure high bandwidth of 224 Gb/sec. Memory operational frequency is truly striking, demonstrating up to 1752 MHz (nominal) and up to 7010 MHz (dynamic) index. It should be noted that models with 4 GB modules will cost $50 more than those with 2 GB items (the recommended price makes up $399).
