Deepcool Introduces a Universal IceEdge 400 E CPU Cooler

Deepcool Industries, a well-known Chinese designer of multifarious cooling solutions, is going to launch its newest universal CPU cooler, entitled IceEdge 400 E (Elite Edition). The new-comer has got a tower-type design and features 100x86x125.5 mm dimensions.

This model is predestined to be incorporated into all contemporary platforms, including Intel’s LGA775/1150/1155/1156 and AMD’s 754/939/940/FM1/FM2/AM2(+)/AM3(+). Moreover, it is able to cool down rather hot processors, which TDP level reaches 130 W.

Deepcool IceEdge 400 E consists of a heatsink block, featuring thin aluminum plates, four copper heatpipes that support direct contact technology, and a single 92 mm fan. The latter is based on a fluid bearing and develops speed up to 2200 RPM. The maximal noise level it is producing approximates 26 dB. The fan is fixed due to wire spikes.

Pricing and release date are still unknown.

Asus Surfaces New Gaming Monitor VG245HE

Asus keeps on satisfying the needs of inveterate gamers. This time the company has introduced a 24-inch monitor, entitled VG245HE. The model is developed on TN panel, featuring Full HD resolution (1920x1080) & 16:9 aspect ratio. The panel ensures the fast response time – 1 ms only, the maximal brightness of 250 cd/m2 and the highest dynamic contrast index – 100M:1.

Of course, there are a lot more privileges of the new-comer. Asus VG245HE boasts the widest viewing angles (170/160 H/V degrees), replenished by 75 Hz refresh rate. The model is able to display 16.7 million of colors & produce the purest sounding thanks to the implementation of two 2-watt speakers.

The I/O panel houses two HDMI ports, one D-Sub port as well as a pair of audio ports. The integrated stand provides for tilt, swivel and pivot adjustments; besides, it’s possible to detach the stand and mount the screen with the help of 100x100 VESA bracket. It is estimated that the monitor consumes 40 W of …

Gigabyte Shows Off a Bespoke GTX 970 Graphics Card

Gigabyte has intrigued its fans by the design of an unusual videocard – the GeForce GTX 970 (GV-N970TTOC-4GD). It is based on Nvidia GM-204-200-A1 GPU (Maxwell) but with overclocked frequencies. The core operates at 1101 MHz/1241 MHz instead of etalon 1050 MHz/1178 MHz. The GPU is accompanied with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory (256-bit bus) that runs at 7010 MHz efficient clock frequency.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 is distinguished by the implementation of Twin Turbo Fan cooling system. It consists of three copper heatpipes with direct touch technology, an aluminum heatsink, and a radial-flow fan; the latter grasps air from both sides of the adapter due to the shortened PCB design.

As a result, the airflow increases by 24%, whereas the cooling effect enhances by 29%. Thanks to this, the card is thought to be an optimal solution for Nvidia SLI configurations.

It should be noted that this graphics card boasts a high-quality hardware base – Ultra Durable VGA. A set of external …
