Presentation of a Professional Graphics Card AMD FirePro W9000

Within the bounds of AMD Fusion Developer Summit, Advanced Micro Devices has presented its new graphics card AMD FirePro W9000. The new graphic solution is based on a couple of 28-nm Tahiti chips and is actually a prototype of Radeon HD 7900 adapter. FirePro W9000 is chiefly targeted at professionals used to work with 3D technologies and video editing applications.

AMD FirePro W9000 is based on a red circuit board developed to work with PCI Express 3.0x16 bus. Scythe Showcases Asymmetric Byakko CPU Cooler

Scythe, a well-known Japanese manufacturer of cooling solutions, is about to release an uncommon CPU cooler. Entitled Byakko, the Tower model features an asymmetric design: an aluminum heatsink is superseded backwards against the nickel-plated base; such framework ensures an ideal compatibility of the cooler with high RAM modules. Moreover, the item is only 130-mm high, so it can fit any PC case.

Scythe Byakko is reconcilable with the majority of modern platforms, including Intel Socket LGA 1366/115x/775 & AMD Socket FM1/FM2/FM2+/aM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+. The cooler accommodates three nickel-plated 6-mm heat pipes, replenished by a single 92-mm fan. The Scythe Slip Stream 92 PWM is based on a sleeve bearing. ASRock FM2A88M-HD+ to Support the Latest AMD Kaveri APUs

ASRock has recently announced a new series of motherboards that are based on the prime-class AMD A88X chipset, targeting Socket FM2(+) CPUs of Trinity and Richland generation. Moreover, they are supposed to support the new-gen AMD Kaveri APUs with Steamroller microarchitecture. One of the most outstanding models within the series is FM2A88M-HD+ motherboard, which features a large amount of slots and sockets. At the same time, it remains a cost-efficient solution.

ASRock FM2A88M-HD+ is designed in a micro-ATX form-factor, featuring 234x183 mm dimensions. The company claims that this model is able to accommodate DDR3 RAM with 2133 MHz frequency, housed in two DIMM slots. Therein, the maximal memory capacity might achieve 32 GB. Hardware base consists of prime-quality solid-state capacitors and durable chokes. Three expansion slots are introduced by one PCI, one PCIe 2.0 x1, and one high-speed PCIe 3.0 x16; the latter demonstrates up to 15.75 Mb/sec bandwidth.
