Scythe Showcases a New Affordable Kotetsu Cooler

Scythe has recently showcased its newest CPU cooling system with an expressive codename Kotetsu. Relying much on the demands of average customers, the product offers an optimal correlation of efficiency and price. The Kotetsu is an ordinary tower-like product with a perfect cooling potential. However, its key advantage is the employment of Hyper Precision Mounting System, which ensures fast and trouble-free installation.

First and the foremost, Scythe Kotetsu is ready to work with all current CPU platforms, including Intel Socket LGA1150 and AMD Socket FM2+. Heat dissipation efficiency is realized thanks to a large number of aluminum fins, incorporated into the heatsink, as well as four heat-pipes of 6 mm each. The heatsink features an extraordinary shape that ameliorates the airflow between the fins. Therein, contact base is entirely made of copper.

Second of all, this cooler is initially equipped with one 120 mm fan, entitled Scythe Glide Stream. Due to PWM support, it …

MSI Shared the First Shot of Z170A Gaming Pro Mainboard

First displayed at Computex 2015, the Z170A Gaming Pro motherboard from MSI is now available for the web community. The company teases the first shot of the extended ATX model, showing off its main privileges. The new-comer is based on Intel Z170 chipset, intended for Socket LGA 1151-compatible Intel Skylake CPUs. Its key visual attraction is the availability of a stripe with RGB illumination on the right side. The stripe supports 8 working modes and is able to display up to 16.5 million colors.

MSI Z170A Gaming Pro comes equipped with 4x DIMM slots for the integration of DDR4-3300 MHz memory modules (maximum capacity – 64 GB). Storage subsystem is introduced by four SATA 6 Gb/sec ports and a single SATA Express port (compatible with two SATA 6 Gb/sec ports). The socket is powered by a 8-pin connector, whereas the PCB draws power from a 24-pin ATX one.

Furthermore, the connection of graphics cards might be realized via two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots; other expansion cards are …

Zalman Introduces Three New Fan Series for PC Cases

Zalman, a highly-acclaimed designer of miscellaneous hardware pieces, has elaborated three completely new series of low-noise fans: ZM-FDB(SF), ZM-LED(SF) and ZM-Plus(SF). The ‘triple’ embraces the models of 80 mm, 92 mm and 120 mm dimensions. The fans do not support PWM technology, thus feature a stable rotational speed. The most peculiar feature is low noise level (not more than 23 dB), despite the range of speed.

Zalman ZM-FDB(SF) are characterized by the implementation of high-quality fluid-dynamic bearings. Their lifespan is estimated as 150.000 hours. The other two fan series – Zalman ZM-LED(SF) and Zalman ZM-Plus(SF) — involve long-life bearings, which are thought to be quite reliable and effective. Their framework features dust-repelling mechanisms and this promotes for the elongated lifespan.

Certainly, the ‘triple’ enjoys similar features. For instance, all the fans employ an original Shark Fin blades design. It allows for the decrease of airflow …
