Unusual PC Chassis Prodigy M from BitFenix

BitFenix, a company known for modern and cutting-edge PC solutions, is going to release one more representative of Prodigy PC chassis family – the Prodigy M. The new-comer features identical to the predecessor dimensions, nonetheless is ready to welcome motherboards of mini-ITX, as well as of micro-ATX standard. The chassis is designed in two color variations: stylish Arctic White and exclusive Midnight Black. According to the preliminary info, the model will be released in late September at a price of about €80.

Despite small-sized format, the case is able to accommodate all crucial components. The number of bays for various drives has been reduced, although storage does not suffer from lack of facilities. Thus, the case features four bays for HDD items (3.5-inch) and five bays for HDD/SSD items (2.5-inch). Five expansion PCI Express slots allow for the creation of various system configurations, including CrossFire and SLI graphics schemes.

The length of supported graphics adapters should not exceed 320 mm, while the length of ATX-supported power supply units should not surpass the margin of 160 mm. The maximal height of supported CPU coolers makes up 160 mm; additionally, the user might install a 120 mm liquid-cooling heatsink.

To continue, BitFenix Prodigy M comes with two pre-installed fans of 120 mm dimensional type. They are based on prime fluid-film bearings with a prolonged lifespan. There is a possibility to enhance the layout with three more fans of analogous type.

The I/O panel might boast a couple of USB (3.0) ports and standard HD Audio sockets. The case is also equipped with anti-dust filters (at the frontal and top panels). What is more, the chassis’ framework is peculiar by two FyberFlex Composite handles at the bottom and top panels. They add the case some futuristic and stylish features.
