The company's latest creation, codenamed GTX 660 AMP! Edition, is a combination of stylish design, high performance and lowered noise level.
Integration and Circuit Board
Graphics card Zotac GTX 660 AMP! Edition is developed under traditional brand design. The only distinguishing feature is the integration of orange fans. The manufacturers decided not to alter the design of circuit board, preserving all modules at definite places. The card is equipped with a single power supply socket which has got convenient localization. Video interface is represented by HDMI, DP and two DVI ports. Vertical localization of DVI ports triggered the minimization of ventilation grid and the integration of additional perforations.
The overall length of the implemented circuit board equals to 172 mm. However, the prolonged cover of cooling system augments the length to 244 mm. Four power supply phases are shifted to the rear part of the card; they are managed by NPC5395G controller. Right to the GPU one can find a single power supply phase. The general power supply phases scheme looks the following way: GPU/MEM/PLL (4+1+1).
Eight memory chips found their places at both sides of the card. They are notable for the capability of gaining the frequency of 1500 MHz with 192-bit interface. Correspondingly, the nominal working frequencies of this graphics card equal to 1046 MHz (GPU) and 1652 MHz (memory). In GPU Boost mode the frequency can rise to 1111 MHz mark.
The nominal delivery kit of GTX 660 AMP! Edition includes user graphics card installation guideline, DVI to VGA adapter, and Molex to 6-pin adapter.
Cooling System
The implemented cooling system consists of several demountable components: a solid cover with fans, a radiator and a plate for mosfets. The cover is easily removable without a total system takedown. The radiator is located under the cover; its base contains a copper interlude. The central part of it is alloted for the heat pipes which branch out at both sides. The pipes are reliably fixed to the ribs which, in their turn, are joint by locks.
Performance
Zotac GTX 660 AMP! Edition is able to provide the customers with good performance characteristics and medium noise level. Cooling system preserves the stability of temperatures on various conditions. Hence, the temperature fluctuates within the measures of 28 degrees when the fan rotational speed approximates 1500 rpm (without loading). At the same time, the noise level achieves 24.3 dB. On conditions of heightened loading with 2350 rpm, the temperature rises to 74 degrees; the noise level achieves 35.3 dB.
