Eizo Showcases a New Gaming Monitor Foris FG2421

Eizo Nanao Corporation, a well-known Japanese manufacturer of visual solutions, has just introduced its newest Full HD monitor, intended for inveterate gamers and movie fans. The Foris FG2421 features 23.8-inch display with a standard 16:9 aspect ratio and the resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It is based on VA panel and supports a wide variety of advanced technologies.

The VA panel is characterized by wide viewing angles (176/176 degrees H/V), dramatically fast response time – 1 ms, good refresh rate – 240 Hz, and static contrast of 5000:1. The model is able to display up to 16.7 million colors with the maximal brightness of 400 cd/m2. The incorporation of Turbo 240 technology allows for the conversion of two 120 Hz signals into a single 240 Hz signal, due to the adjustment of LED.

In addition to Turbo 240, Eizo Foris FG2421 supports Smart Insight technology with five pre-installed gaming profiles for RTS and FPS. Moreover, it goes with a set of standard profiles for a better viewing experience: Cinema, sRGB, Paper, Eco, and Game. With an attempt to achieve an extreme image quality, Eizo equips the monitor with EcoView light sensor; thanks to it, the monitor automatically adjusts the backlight and configures screen brightness, depending on the lighting in the room.

The model comes with an ergonomic stand that enables the alignment of display height and tilt. The base is designed to facilitate the cable management process. The rear facet of the monitor case houses DVI-D, HDMI, DisplayPort video ports and three USB ports; one of the ports enables smart tuning, due to ScreenManager Pro utility. Finally, the new-comer features the following showings of power consumption: on typical conditions – 20 W, on maximal loading – 53 W, in standby mode – 0.5 W, and in power save mode – less than 0.5 W.
