Release of Cooling System MK-26 from Prolimatech

Prolimatech made one more step to the leadership in cooling system segment by releasing a new cooler MK-26 last week. The new product is primarily intended at cooling GPUs integrated in graphics solutions developed by Nvidia and AMD. This model is differentiated by perceptibly voluminous dimensions which reach 230x146x47 mm. The nominal delivery set of MK-26 includes the most essential components, along with the brand PK-3 thermal compound.

The framework is designed with the efficiency and performance in mind. The cooler has got a nickel-based bottom part and six heat pipes. In their turn, the pipes accommodate two arrays of aluminum ribs which are manufactured under Buckle Fin technology. With the aim to enforce the performance, the user is able to locate a couple of 120 mm or 140 mm fans on the radiators. Graphics card together with this cooling system takes only two slots on the motherboard.

Moreover, according to the manufacturer's words, Prolimatech MK-26 is capable …

Release of Security Acceleration Module from Check Point

Check Point representatives have announced the release of their new creation Security Acceleration module. This module has been developed with the heightened security in mind, and according to the up-to-date hardware acceleration methodology with the consideration of the requirements stipulated by the high-performance environment.

Check Point is notable for the design of an advanced SecurityCore hardware-based technology which stimulated the development of a module with the firewall bandwidth of 110 Gbit/sec. At the same time, the latency level doesn’t exceed the margin of 5 microseconds. This technology employs parallel computing capabilities used for the process acceleration and safety. The module is equipped with 108 cores which allow the central processor to swap-out and transfer the vast majority of operations connected with the security issues to the Security Acceleration module. In its turn, this provides for the better safety options in network environment.

Micron to Carry Out the Production of TLC Memory Next Year

Memory market, similar to other industries, undergoes certain changes and updates from time to time. Therefore, memory manufacturers are currently trying to comply their production with two major tendencies: considerable drop in demand for RAM, employed basically in desktop PCs, and simultaneous growth of demand for solid-state drives, employed in compact tablets and mobile devices. Besides, the latter is developed at lightning speed.

Micron, one of the leading memory manufacturers, feels like no one else all the changes and fluctuations in the market. Its quarterly reports witness about the relentless drop in demand for DRAM (9% drop at average) for the report period. At the same time, increase in SSD segment is estimated at 5% at average. Sales volume of NOR memory type did not outlive serious changes.

According to the preliminary data, Micron is going to carry out the production of memory on TLC microchips, manufactured under 20 nm technological process. The assumed …
