EK Water Blocks Introduces the First Water Block for AMD X470 Based Mainboards

The EK Water Blocks company, specializing in liquid cooling systems and relating components production, presents its EK-FB ASUS Strix X470 RGB Monoblock unit.

 

In the words of the Slovenian vendor, this water block is the first device, intended for system cards, built on the AMD X470 chipset. Specifically, the novelty is aimed at the Asus ROG Strix X470-F Gaming model and is designed to transfer heat away from the processing unit, mounted into the AM4 socket, and adjacent voltage controllers of the power supply subsystem. One should note that, owing to low hydraulic resistance, EK-FB ASUS Strix X470 RGB Monoblock may be utilized even with low voltage pumps.

 

This EKWB product has a copper nickel-plated base and a transparent acrylic cover. It also features full-colour backlighting, supporting the Asus Aura Sync technology.

Intel Core i7-4000 Release is Scheduled for Q3’13

Intel has just unveiled its current year release plans and made a specific focus on Intel Core i7-4000 processor series. According to Intel, the new line of products, known also as Intel Ivy Bridge-E, is going to hit the market in Q3’13. Their launch will replace the Sandy-Bridge-E series – Intel Core i7-3000. The new-comers will support Socket LGA2011 CPU sockets, as well as Intel X79 chipset. This is called to dramatically facilitate the updating process of the current systems.



The first three models to appear in the market will be Intel Core i7-4960X, Intel Core i7-4930K, and Intel Core i7-4820K. They will all be delivered with an unlocked multiplier. The first two models are known to have six physical and twelve virtual processor cores.


The nominal frequency of Intel Core i7-4960X equals to 3.6 GHz and the dynamic frequency might achieve 4.0 GHz index. This processor will be equipped with 15 MB of cache-memory. Its cost will fluctuate within the measures of $1000. …

Adata Announces a Couple of External High-Speed DashDrive Elite SSDs

Adata Technology, a Taiwanese manufacturer of RAM modules and diverse flash peripherals, announces the release of two new external solid-state drives that entered DashDrive Elite lineup. Codenamed SE720 and SE810, this couple positions itself quite differently: the first model is oriented at OS Windows users, while the second model is targeting Mac users. Despite diverse predestination, both drives are ready to offer high performance combined with extreme reliability.



Adata DashDrive Elite SE720 will be available in two flash-memory capacities: 128 GB and 256 GB. Each model features a thin, stainless metallic case with 8.9 mm depth and scratch-proof surface. These solid-state drives employ USB 3.0 interface and are powered via USB cable. They are known to support a built-in option of quick backup, which is enabled just by pressing one button. Additionally, SE720 drives have got a convenient LED indication system that notifies the user about the data transfer process.
