Gigabyte GV-N960WF2-4GD: Graphics Card for Multi-Screen Platforms

It goes without saying that modern games advance tough demands towards the volume of video buffer. This aspect emerges full-blown when it goes about the creation of multi-screen platforms and during manipulations with professional graphics. Considering this fact, Gigabyte has launched one more representative of GeForce GTX 960 series – the GeForce GTX 960 WindForce 2X Gaming (codename: GV-N960WF2-4GD) with an enlarged GDDR5 video memory (4 GB instead of 2 GB).

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 WindForce 2X Gaming is developed on Nvidia GM206 GPU (Nvidia Maxwell architecture) that can operate in two modes, presumed by OC Guru II software package. The first mode, Gaming, offers etalon 1127 MHz/1178 MHz clock frequency, while the second one, OC, is distinguished by increased frequencies: 1152 MHz/1203 MHz (nominal/dynamic). In its turn, video memory runs at 1752 MHz (nominal) and 7010 MHz (effective) frequency.

Along with improvements in memory subsystem, this graphics adapter …

SSDs Corsair Neutron and Corsair Neutron GTX Review

Current conjuncture in the market of drives proves that SSDs do not require special advertising. Their demand index rises every single day, along with the increasing supply. Corsair, a well-known manufacturer of various PC hardware solutions, has successfully 'assimilated' advanced LAMD LM87800 controllers, and developed two SSD items at once based on this controller. Codenamed Corsair Neutron and Corsair Neutron GTX, these drives are intended at different customer audiences. Both models feature similar internal layout, but differ in the integrated interfaces and memory types.

Specifications

Model Corsair Neutron is considered to be cheaper than GTX version, so its specifications are more modest. It employs MLC flash-memory type with ONFI interface developed under 25 nm technological process. Its companion, Corsair Neutron GTX, belongs to the high-end SSD echelon and employs MLC flash-memory type with Toggle Mode interface designed under 24 nm technological process. Both …

Kingston KC1000 SSDs Are Equipped With the PCIe 3.0 x4 Interface and Support the NVMe Protocol

The Kingston Company has announced the release of KC1000 solid-state drives, which are equipped with the PCIe 3.0 x4 interface and support the latest NVMe protocol. These products feature the MLC NAND flash memory and the Phison PS5007-E7 controller.

The KC1000 sequential read speed achieves 2,700 MB/sec; and the ultimate sequential write velocity is 900 MB/sec with the smallest capacity model and 1,600 MB/sec with other samples. The novelty supplies up to 290,000 IOPS. During the period of service Kingston solid-state disks, being available in 240, 480 and 960 GB, endure 300, 550 and 1000 TB of data respectively. In addition, we should remark, the SSD provides enhanced endurance and power saving.

Delivering of this M.2 2280 type device starts in the middle of June. The cost is unveiled yet, however, it is reported, that specialties are protected by a five-year warranty and intend Kingston support.
