New Enterprise-Class SSDs P420m from Micron

Micron Technology, a well-known designer of RAM modules and solid-state drives, finally launches a new enterprise-class series of SSDs. Codenamed P420m, the new-comers are the true followers of P320h drives, but they are ready to offer more than their predecessors. According to Micron, its new entries feature voluminous capacities and ensure high reliability; however, their price range is far more reasonable than other corporate-class products.



SSDs P420m come in two variations: as standard 2.5-inch drives with PCI Express x4 interface or as HHHL (half-height half-length) expansion cards with PCI Express x8 interface. Both species are based on MLC NAND flash-memory, developed under 25 nm technological process. They support a brand XPERT technology (Extended performance and enhanced reliability technology) that ensures genuine reliability and prolonged lifespan. Galaxy Unveils a Shortened Version of GeForce GTX 760 Adapter

Galaxy Microsystems, a reliable partner of Nvidia, has recently unveiled its own, shortened version of GTX 760 graphics adapter. Codenamed Galaxy GeForce GTX 760 GC Mini, the card employs a reference GK104 GPU (28 nm), but is differentiated by an original PCB and a factory overclocking. The implemented circuit board features 193 mm length dimensions and is elaborated on a blue textolite.



The new-comer is furnished with 1152 CUDA cores that run at 1019 MHz but can be overclocked up to 1084 MHz. Video subsystem is introduced by GDDR5 modules with 256-bit interface. The overall capacity of modules makes up 2 GB. The GDDR5 demonstrates rather striking performance, considering the card’s middle-end destination: the modules are able to gain 6008 MHz clock frequency.

Corsair Introduces a Spacious 'Godzilla' PC Case

Corsair, known for its multifarious PC hardware products line, has introduced its new chassis with a promising name Obsidian 900D Godzilla. The attribute 'Godzilla' speaks for itself: the case features truly voluminous dimensions of 655x694x251 mm. Its weight is also impressive and its internal layout is ready to welcome the whole galaxy of motherboards of different form-factor, including ATX, XL-ATX, E-ATX, HP-ATX.



Obsidian 900D Godzilla goes in black coloring and one of its side panels is equipped with a transparent acrylic window that uncovers some internal components. Such impressive dimensions offer free spacing for the integration of fifteen (!) 3.5-inch (or 2.5-inch) drives, ten PCI expansions cards, and four bays for the drives of 5.25-inch dimensional type. The input/output interface panel is represented by 3.5 mm audio connectors, a pair of USB 2.0 ports and four USB 3.0 ports.
