The past several days were marked by the official presentation of a new motherboard from Asus company. The new product, codenamed ROG Maximus V Extreme, is based on Intel Z77 chip and supports Intel Core processors of the second and third generations. The major distinctive feature of the motherboard is the availability of the integrated Thunderbolt interface and a range of exclusive overclocking and monitoring attachments. ROG Maximus V Extreme is furnished with five PCI Express 3.0 slots and is able to support such graphics technologies as AMD CrossFire, LucidLogix Virtu MVP, and Nvidia SLI. Asus designers have taken care about the multitask capabilities of their motherboards, so equipped their products with the controller of Thunderbolt interface. The Toshiba Company has announced its latest external solid-state drives line, called Toshiba XS700. At the moment this series includes only one model of the 240 GB capacity. The device is produced in a regular 2.5-inch form factor; the framework height is extended, though. Dimensions are 95 х 75 х 11 mm, weight is 90 g. 
Contemporary PC monitors are generally based on two types of panels with their variations: TN and IPS. The choice of panel depends on the product's class and destination. However, there are some monitors that employ rather rare arrays, like WVA, which appeared long time ago and now emerge in the market with a bit modified technologies.
