BenQ Unveils a New Professional PC Monitor BL2710PT

BenQ does not hold out a hope of overtaking its direct competitors in PC display market. In this light, the company has unveiled one more monitor, entitled BenQ BL2710PT, that is predestined to be employed by professional designers and application developers. The model features 27-inch display, aspect ratio of 16:9 and might boast a really striking original resolution of 2560x1440, due to the incorporation of AHVA panel. The latter has got a power-saving LED backlit that substantially reduces power consumption on various operational conditions.

To continue with the monitor’s specifications, it’s necessary to mention that the user will always receive qualitative imaging, as the response time equals to 4 ms only. In addition, BL2710PT boasts wide viewing angles of 178/178 degrees (down/across), 100% sRGB color surrounding, 350 nits brightness, and a quite amazing contrast ratio of 12M:1 (dynamic), whereas static contrast is typical: 1000:1.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Graphics Card Has Much In Common With Titan X, but Holds More Elements

Several days ago Nvidia has introduced its most effective consumer graphics card, namely GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. It is GP102 GPU based and holds 3,584 CUDAs. This device resembles the Titan X sample. Its graphics engine is the same, however, the number of ROP units (96) is higher, the memory bus (384 bits) is wider, the memory volume (12 GB) is bigger, frequencies are higher, and the price is much lower!

As it turned out, GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is produced with a PC-board of its high-end counterpart, but there are differences in electronic components. Thus, the power subsystem has been refined due to the duplicated quantity of MOSFET transistors. Now it is possible to overclock the adapter to higher frequencies. GTX 1080 Ti has got nine extra solid capacitors. The absence of a DVI port provides more vents on the back panel.

In general, for public users this product almost copies the more expensive Titan X model and at the same time can be more productive in games.

Meeting Ballistix Elite DDR4 Memory from Micron Technology

As part of Crucial brand, Micron Technology comes out with a new generation of RAM – the Ballistix Elite DDR4. It is developed in a pure black PCB with a powerful heatspreader and an integrated thermal sensor. Initially, the company releases planks of 4 GB and 8 GB, although in retail sale the products will be available in 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB kits. Pricing is unknown so far.

Crucial Ballistix Elite DDR4 memory operates at 2666 MHz frequency and boasts 21 Gb/sec throughput index. Its power-efficient facilities are 40% better than those inherent in DDR3 models with analogous clock frequency. This makes gaming process a delight due to intense responsiveness, optimized latencies, and increased frame rates.

The modules support XMP 2.0 profiles as well as Ballistix Memory Overview Display utilities; the latter track the performance of each module, analyzing temperature, voltage and frequency showings in real time. Furthermore, Micron Technology makes its DDR4 compatible …
