The Latest Brix Gaming VR Systems Let Users Try Benefits of Modern Games

Though Brix is well-known due to its devices, which do not require powerful processors and discrete video cards, new Brix Gaming VR products – GB-BNi7HG6-1060 and GB-BNi5HG6-1060 – allow running default apps and at the same time enjoy high frame rate while playing latter-day games.

Brix Gaming VR models of the new generation feature the Intel HM175 Gigabyte motherboard, Intel Core i7-7700HQ (GB-BNi7HG6-1060) and Core i5-7300HQ (GB-BNi5HG6-1060) CPUs of the Kaby Lake-H family, a GeForce GTX 1060 graphics accelerator, offering 6 GB of GDDR5 memory. Other specs include Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth) and Intel I219-LM (Gigabit Ethernet) network adapters, and also a Realtek ALC255 audio controller. The external power supply is meant for the ultimate 9.23 А/180 W capacity.

Brix Gaming VR systems are performed in identical cases, being 110 mm long, 110 mm wide and 220 mm high. Air flows from the bottom upwards; and the cooling system is low-noise, …

Overview of the Chieftec FI-03B Case

Ever since with the light touch of the VIA Technologies the Mini-ITX motherboard standard has entered the consumer market, ample opportunities have opened up for fans of compact computer systems. However, the main problems of the still new form factor were quickly identified then. The most painful among them were issues of components compatibility (which were all produced for a more common ATX format), the problem of their cooling and, of course, the complete absence of sane small cases capable of taking such systems in.

In solving problems with the chassis, the industry initially chose two parallel paths. On the one hand, tiny boxes supplied with an external power supply were put into production. The maximum that they were able to accept was the processors from VIA and Intel with TDP not more than 20 watts. On the other hand, cases where it would be possible to assemble a good game system based on the Mini-ITX motherboard were created. But in size, they often reached the …

SilverStone Supplements Its Production Line with SG05-Lite PC Case

SilverStone Technology, a Taiwanese designer of high-performance cooling systems and steel/aluminum chassis, is going to supplement its production line with a new PC case SG05-Lite that joined SilverStone Sugo series. An official release is scheduled for early May and the manufacturer has already unveiled the recommended price for the product: about €33. The case is developed in mini-ITX form-factor and features 276x222x176 mm dimensions.

PC case SG05-Lite is made of stainless steel but for the frontal panel that is made of plastic. The model will be available in two color variations (totally black and totally white) and will be beneficial for the assembling of high-efficiency but small-sized systems. Similar to other compact chassis, new case from SilverStone is thought to support motherboards of micro-ATX and mini-ITX standard. In addition, there are two expansion slots for the integration of PCI Express cards, a single bay for the integration of 3.5-inch drive, a single …
