The Official Presentation of AMD Naples Processors for the Enterprise Market Is to Take Place in the 2nd Quarter This Year

AMD continues to reveal secrets regarding its Zen-based novelties. This time we are speaking about chipsets for the enterprise market under the Naples code name.

The first of the Naples CPUs mentioned encompasses 8 CCX computing units (CPU Complex) with each of them possessing 4 cores. All in all, there are 32 cores, and 64 threads are processed simultaneously. The chipset includes an embedded DDR4 memory 8 channel controller and a module of 64 64 PCI-Express 3.0 lines. The max RAM capacity is 2 TB. On top of everything AMD Infinity Fabric allows to form dual-processor systems and, thus, double all aforecited rates.

The AMD Co. is going to retail Naples specialties at a reasonable price to provide competition for Xeon E5-2600 Intel products. However, AMD based systems will feature more advanced specs and higher productivity.

Naples CPUs by AMD are expected to be officially introduced in the second quarter of 2017.

Release of Low-Profile Cooler Slim Silence A-Plus from Gelid

Gelid Solutions, a Hong-Kong based renowned manufacturer of thermal solutions and other PC hardware, has lately presented its low-profile CPU cooler, codenamed Slim Silence A-Plus, for AMD platform. The new cooler is compatible with AMD AM2(+), AM3(+), as well as, FM1. According to the words of the Asian manufacturer, this model is capable to manage processors with the TDP index fluctuating in the measures of 95W.

There is one peculiar feature about Slim Silence A-Plus: its design resembles the design of coolers destined for GPU due to the foveate fan. That is why, customers can sometimes confuse this cooler's destination.

CPU cooler Slim Silence A-Plus goes in rather compact dimensions; its height does not exceed 28 mm, while its weight equals to 282 g. Such compactness provides for its unimpeded installation into chassis of different form-factor, starting from Mid-Tower, and finishing with Mini-ATX, 1U and HTPC.

The cooler's casing consists of an aluminum radiator …

The Launch of AMD Gigabyte AB350N-Gaming WiFi Motherboards for Mini PCs Is Forthcoming

The AMD Co. is going to broaden the range of system boards for AMD Ryzen processors with a brand-new AB350N-Gaming WiFi model. The specialty will be of a compact Mini-ITX form factor to be utilized with mini PCs.

The card layout view supplies a description, according to which AB350N-Gaming WiFi will feature two slots for DDR4 RAM modules, alongside with several PCI Express slots – most likely, one PCI Express x16 and one PCI Express x1. As we can see, the packaging around the CPU socket will be rather tight.

Among other specifications one can highlight a high-quality audio subsystem, based on the Realtek ALC 1220 codec, a USB 3.1 Type-C port, a Gigabit Ethernet adapter, two BIOS chips and RGB lighting. And finally, yet importantly, the supply set contains a wireless connectivity module, which is clear from the name of the product.

Alas, there is no information about Gigabyte AB350N-Gaming WiFi cost and the release date.
