Xigmatek, a Taiwanese manufacturer of PC cooling solutions, has just promulgated the specifications of its new cooler series entitled Apache III. The series consists of two models only, which differentiate themselves by the casing's material and color. Model CD901 is housed in a silver aluminum casing, while model CD903 – in a black anodized aluminum casing. Both models have been developed specifically for CPU cooling purposes; they are able to support various platforms offered by Intel and AMD: LGA 775, 1155, 1156 (Intel), Socket AM2 and later (AMD).



Both models in Apache III series are equipped with a voluminous aluminum heatsink and 92 mm fan with half-transparent orange ribs. The fan is based on Long Life bearing and features PWM facility that allows for the adjustment of fan rotational speed. The speed span variates between 1200-2500 rpm, depending on the CPU temperature and loading. The noise level does not outreach the measures of twenty dB.

As part of the Philips Monitors brand, MMD has introduced 258B6QUEB QHD monitor – the first solution in the lineup to support USB 3.1 Type-C interface. This port allows for transferring data and charging external devices (simultaneously) via a single cable. This simplifies the interaction between the display and mobile devices. Philips 258B6QUEB QHD is based on a 25-inch IPS panel, supporting 2560x1440 resolution. It boasts premium color rendering, aspect ratio of 16:9, the widest viewing angles (178/178), standard static contrast of 1000:1, and the top brightness on 350 cd/m2. The panel is fitted with a power-efficient WLED backlight. Besides, the display supports 16.7 million colors.

The Gigabyte Technology Co. has prepared a new version of the Aorus Z370 Ultra Gaming motherboard marked 2.0.

 

The specialty is different from its predecessor in the greatly enhanced processor socket power subsystem, featuring eleven phases (instead of seven) and ferrite-core chokes of a higher quality, which don’t squeak at high load. Besides, the supply set includes a heatsink for the M.2 drive.

 

Upon every other point the Gigabyte Aorus Z370 Ultra Gaming 2.0 card entirely coincides with the previous version. The PC-board shows three PCI Express 3.0 x16, three PCI-E 3.0 x1 slots, two M.2 interfaces and four slots for the DDR4 RAM memory. The Intel i219-V controller secures the Gigabit network interface operation. The audio subsystem of this novelty is based on the Realtek ALC1220 codec. One may also notice the RGB Fusion LED-backlighting, which is classical for Aorus products.
