After the release of REX8 series, Sharkoon decided to replenish its line of chassis with a new entry-level series. The series has been entitled REX3 and is currently represented by Value and Economy models. Both models are designed in Midi-Tower form factor and are ready to accept the motherboards of micro-ATX/ATX dimensional type. The other distinctive feature of the upcoming models is their price, which is targeted to attract the customers with modest and medium financial possibilities.



Chassis REX3 Value and REX3 Economy differ from their predecessors, REX8 models, by the availability of three instead of four bays for 5.25-inch drives which have the output to the frontal panel. At the same time, not less important requirement, established by standard 80PLUS should be considered. That means — the preservation of this level of performance for all occurring in the world supply voltage variations, that is in the range of 100-240 V.



The standard rules of 80PLUS at different levels (Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, etc.) are performed for two voltage 115 V and 230 V. In both cases, the normalized PS should show the efficiency of not less than specified for each category level. GeIL has announced the release of EVO X DDR4 Memory Kits and Modules for PCs equipped with motherboards based on the Intel X99 and Z170 chipsets.



The key speciality of these products is the GeIL HILM (Hybrid-Independent-Light-Module). These entirely independent solutions feature LEDs, a microcontroller, a mode select switch and two power supply connectors.


On one side of modules there is a 12 volt 4-pin slot for establishing a connection with LED strips on the motherboard. It enables adjustment of the backlighting. Compatibility with MSI Mystic Light, ASUS Aura and Gigabyte Ambient LED systems is provided.
