ASUS broadens the range of ROG gaming devices with its latest Swift XG258Q monitor, which obtained the 24.5-inch TN matrix and the 1920 × 1080 pixels resolution.



This Full HD screen features the following key specs: the ultra-fast 1 ms response time (gray to gray), 240 Hz refresh rate, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 170 (horizontally) and 160 (vertically) viewing angles.


Due to the adaptive AMD FreeSync technology applied, the specialty from ASUS offers a dynamic refresh rate. The ASUS-peculiar GamePlus hotkey provides best possible gameplay. Gigabyte has recently announced the release of its first graphics card based on Radeon R7 265 adapter. The Gigabyte Radeon R7 265 OC Edition comes with operational overclocking and a powerful WindForce 2X cooling system. Still, it is attributed to the middle-end products with an average performance. The model will be available for customers in late March for the recommended price of $170.



This graphics card is developed on AMD Pitcairn Pro GPU (GCN, 28 nm) that embraces 1024 stream processors, 32 ROPs, and 64 TMUs. The core runs at the nominal 1008 MHz frequency but can be overclocked to 1036 MHz margin. Video memory section is represented by 2 GB of GDDR5 memory modules (256-bit interface); they operate at 1400 MHz/5600 MHz frequency (nominal/efficient) respectively.

In the year of 2015 the Intel Company announced a mini PC with a completely new layout, named Intel Compute Stick. According to its dimensions it resembles a mobile 3G adapter or a slightly enlarged typical flash drive, though its functionality lets us consider this sample to be a fully-featured PC, which only needs to be connected to the monitor or TV-set through the HDMI interface.



At first the Intel Company and its partners released their versions with Intel Bay Trail CPUs, being later exchanged by the Intel Cherry Trail series solutions. In 2016 even more powerful models with Intel Core m3 and Intel Core m5 (Intel Skylake) CPUs appeared.
