The Just-launched QF140 PC Case Fans Have Been Presented by Cryorig

Welcome brand-new chassis fans from the Cryorig Company. The new series, called QF140, is represented by two 140 mm models – QF140 Silent and QF140 Performance.



The names are self-explanatory and suggest, that the difference between the two samples lies in the rotary speed and in the noise factor. The QF140 Silent fan rotates at the speed of 200–1,000 rpm and produces not more than 19.5 dBA of noise at the maximum 71.5 m³/hr air flow rate. The rotation velocity of QF140 Performance equals to 600–1850 rpm at the noise level of 38 dBA. Its productive capacity is 217 m³/hr.


Both Cryorig products weigh 159.3 g and have such identical dimensions: 140 х 140 х 25.4 mm. The fans feature eleven blades and for the most part are designed in black and white colours.

ASRock Debuts with X99E-ITX/ac Haswell-E Mainboard

ASRock places itself on record with an offbeat solution – the first ever mini-ITX mainboard for Socket LGA2011-v3 platform. The X99E-ITX/ac is developed for the most efficient Haswell-E CPUs (Intel Core i7-5000 series). The Intel X99 chipset ensures the board’s functionality, though it was limited due to compact dimensions.



ASRock X99E-ITX/ac accommodates two slots for two-channel DDR4 memory modules. Storage subsystem offers four SATA III 6 Gb/sec ports, a single SATA Express, and one Ultra M.2 slot that uses four PCI-e 3.0 x16 lanes. Expansion is supported by one PCI-e 3.0 x16 slot only.


This mainboard comes equipped with mPCIe 3.0 x1 socket as well as a modular unit for Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth network connections. Next year TSMC will start manufacturing the first 20nm chips

The Taiwanese company TSMC confirmed its intention to start production of chips using 20 nm technological processes in 2013. However, for now the company does not plan its production on an industrial scale and will release the first chips in a limited quantities, giving them a total of 1% of production capacity. According to the head of the company, the mass production of semiconductor chips with this technology will not begin until 2014.



Meanwhile TSMC Company is going to produce only one version of the chip, which will be able to enter into the wide range of devices, from smart phones with low-power to high-performance graphics cards. For comparison, the Taiwanese company currently has four different output chips on 28-nm technology.
