Gigabyte Unveils GTX 1080 D5X 8G Graphics Card

Gigabyte has gladdened all enthusiasts with the launch of a high-performance video card, entitled GeForce GTX D5X 8G. The new-comer boasts mill overclocking, a modified design & the implementation of a 3-fan cooler. The model comes equipped with Nvidia GP104-400 GPU that offers two operational modes: Gaming & OC. In Gaming mode the core runs at 1607/1733 MHz frequency, while in OC mode it rises up to 1632/1771 MHz frequency.



The GPU is accompanied by 8 GB of GDDR5X memory that operates at an effective index of 10010 MHz. The PCB is perfected by Ultra Durable VGA hardware base with the employment of copper in some layers as well as an enforced power supply subsystem (8+2-phase).

The Mass Market Segment of 3D Graphics Cards Has Been Replenished with the Asus Expedition GTX 1070 Sample

According to several sources, the Asus Co. has introduced a brand-new 3D video card, called Expedition GeForce GTX 1070. The novelty is primarily geared toward customers willing to assemble a productive system and simultaneously to cut costs to the maximum. Reportedly, this graphics card will gain popularity among managers of PC bangs being so widespread in China nowadays.



One should highlight, that the graphics processor of Asus Expedition GTX 1070 is factory overclocked. The base clock equals to 1,607 MHz, and the overclock – to 1,797 MHz. The configuration features 1,920 CUDAs and 8 GB of memory. The manufacturer admits, that 3D Expedition cards undergo a thorough 144 hours testing, including 15 hours of 3DMark checking.

The Swiftech Apogee SKF-TR4 Water Unit Has an Enlarged Cooling Engine for Better Performance

The Swiftech company presented a new revolutionary water unit of the Apogee SKF series. It’s called Apogee SKF-TR4 and is designed for AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors.



The specialty features an innovative cooling engine (its surface area is enlarged by 30%) and customisation adjustments that are able to satisfy all users’ needs. This water unit is produced out of copper. In the place of base-processor contact the water block’s inner surface is covered with pinholes, extending the heat exchange space. Besides, in-and-out openings are located in front of active crystals in the multichip Threadripper module.


The waterblock mountings fit only system boards with the TR4 (SP3r2) CPU connectors. The novelty supports the Addressable RGB Iris tech and is provided with the Swiftech Iris-Eco controller. Two strips of RGB LEDs allow Apogee SKF comply with any colour scheme.


Apogee SKF-TR4 will hit the market at the end of October 2017. It will cost approximately $108.
