Corsair Vengeance DDR4-4000 SODIMM (4x 8GB) Kit: Review of he Quickest Memory Ever

Foreword
American company Corsair starts taking orders for a four-channel Vengeance memory set of SO-DIMM DDR4 standard. The given set is consisted of four modules in volume of 8 Gbytes, it is calculated for work in DDR4-4000 mode and according to the manufacturer's idea it will be in demand among owners of hi-end laptops, mini-PCs, and also compact HEDT-systems using boards like ASRock X299E-ITX/ac.

Corsair claims that its new memory Vengeance SODIMM DDR4 4,000 MHz 32 GB (4 × 8 GB) is "the fastest in the world".
Being on the market since 1994, the company can really boast of high-qua
lity products.

Design
A customer will find a kit in the black and yellow card box.
The modules are black with the black stickers that tell the name of the company and of the series in white and yellow colors. Corsair didn’t forget to add its sign – a ship. In general it makes an impression of powerful, reliable and professional thing, that doesn’t need to draw attention by flashy design.

The company posted a screenshot showing how the new Vengeance SODIMM DDR4 memory kits were tested using the ASRock X299E-ITX/ac motherboard and the Intel Core i7-7820X Skylake-X processor.

Pay attention that this kit is going to work only with K and X series desktop processors.

The kit uses high-frequency quad-channel DDR4-4000MHz SODIMM modules that can be put perfectly in a powerful Intel Core i9 processor, for up to 36 threads of processing power and massive memory bandwidth, in Mini-ITX small-form-factor PCs.

Unlike DDR4-3800 that runs at 19x 100MHz, DDR4-4000 runs at 15x 133MHz. Lower multipliers tend to be easier to use on some processors, so there’s at least a little hope of expanded compatibility.

Moreover, this maximum operating mode of the CORSAIR VENGEANCE SODIMM DDR4 4,000MHz 32GB (CMSX32GX4M4X4000C19) is achieved by activating the XMP 2.0 profile, which means that the user requires a minimum of effort. The main thing is that both the motherboard and the processor support this mode. Since SO-DIMM-modules are mainly designed for compact systems, the novelties are devoid of radiators: the memory chips are closed only with a sticker.

Memory slots Corsair Vengeance SO-DIMM DDR4-4000 are based on Samsung B-die select chips and operate at a nominal voltage of 1.35 V. The delay formula has the form 19-23-23-45. Like most similar solutions, there is support for Intel XMP 2.0 overclocking profiles, as well as a lifetime manufacturer's warranty.

Corsair notes that with the advent of the Vengeance SODIMM DDR4-4000 package of 32 GB, users will be able to combine the advantages of a compact PC and a powerful desktop system.

Although SODIMM memory modules are traditionally associated with laptops, Corsair also aims to create high-performance small form factor systems. As with full-size analogs, this new 32-gigabyte package comes with four 8-gigabyte modules. These new sets, the size of 32 GB (4x8 GB), running at a frequency of DDR4-4000 MHz with timings CL19-23-23-45.

It is already available in the official online store at a price of $595.
