A couple of days ago AMD introduced a new series of DDR3 memory kits within the boundaries of AMD Unified Gaming Strategy development. Codenamed AMD Radeon RG2133, the new-comers are available in two- and four-channel kits, the overall capacity of which equals to 16 GB and 32 GB correspondingly. The most striking feature is that they can be employed as on AMD, so on Intel platforms, supporting AMD AMP and Intel XMP technologies for improved settings optimization.


The other peculiarity is that these memory kits run at 2133 MHz frequency. On such conditions there is always a chance to dramatically increase the system performance up to 22% (with APU AMD A10 on board). Herewith, voltage index equals to 1.65 V, while latency index looks the following way: 10-11-11-30. Memory chips are cooled down by the forces of a high-quality aluminum heatspreader. Deepcool has introduced a ‘companion’ to its well-known cooler entitled Lucifer V2. The all-new Lucifer K2 features 163x146.5x131 mm dimensions and weighs 1047 g. The new-comer supports AMD and Intel platforms, including LGA2011-v3, LGA2011, LGA1366, LGA115x, LGA775 (Intel) & Socket FM2, FM2+, FM1, AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+ (AMD) as well as various CPUs with TDP level of not more than 130 W.

OWC, a developer and supplier of hardware solutions, has recently complemented its line of portable storage devices with a new model Mercury On-the-Go Pro. The preliminary data provided by the company claims that the new product will be based on triple interface template and will support USB 3.0 interface. However, this does not mean that the device won't be able to support USB 2.0 interface, since it will be backwards compatible with USB 3.0.



OWC Mercury On-the-Go Pro storage will be delivered in a refined transparent casing made of acryl. The nominal dimensions are 140x89x25 mm. The software kit will involve various applets for the backup of data (NovaBackup, Data Backup 3, Carbon Copy Cloner), as well as, a dedicated program for the monitoring over the storage condition and optimization of drives' performance.
