Release of Security Acceleration Module from Check Point

Check Point representatives have announced the release of their new creation Security Acceleration module. This module has been developed with the heightened security in mind, and according to the up-to-date hardware acceleration methodology with the consideration of the requirements stipulated by the high-performance environment.



Check Point is notable for the design of an advanced SecurityCore hardware-based technology which stimulated the development of a module with the firewall bandwidth of 110 Gbit/sec. At the same time, the latency level doesn’t exceed the margin of 5 microseconds. This technology employs parallel computing capabilities used for the process acceleration and safety. The module is equipped with 108 cores which allow the central processor to swap-out and transfer the vast majority of operations connected with the security issues to the Security Acceleration module. In its turn, this provides for the better safety options in network environment.

Gigabyte Readies Entry-Level Graphics Card GV-N640D5-2GI

Gigabyte is going to introduce one more entry-level graphics solution that corresponds to the updated Nvidia GeForce GT 640 series. Entitled Gigabyte GeForce GT 640 (GV-N640D5-2GI), the card employs GK107 GPU, running at 1046 MHz frequency instead of the preceding 900 MHz. The core, developed under 28 technological process, utilizes 384 CUDA cores.

Biostar G330 SSD Drives Are Compatible with Desktop PCs, Laptops and Ultrabooks

The Biostar Co. has announced SSD drives of the G330 Series, which are compatible with desktops, standard notebooks, as well as ultrabooks, operated by Windows, macOS and Linux.



These storage devices are performed in the 2.5-inch form factor. The case is 6.8 mm in thickness.The specialties by Biostar are manufactured with the use of 3D TLC NAND flash memory microchips from Micron and the SMI 2258 controller. The default Serial ATA 3.0 interface allows to connect the SSD to the computer.


The Biostar G330 line incorporates samples of 128, 256 and 512 GB capacity. The read response time claimed equals to 560 MB/sec (in the minor version) and 565 MB/sec (in the two other versions). The ultimate writing speed is 500 MB/sec and 515 MB/sec respectively.


The 128 GB Biostar G330 SSD costs $60. The models of 256 and 512 GB capacity will be available at the price of $100 and $170.
