Zotac is going to replenish its line of compact PC devices with two new nettops. To be precise, with two versions of a single model: ZBOX nano XS AD13 and ZBOX nano XS AD13 PLUS. Both versions feature 11x11 mm dimensions and are based on two-core AMD E2-1800 processors with the nominal clock frequency of 1.7 GHz. Similar to other ZBOX products, AD13 promotes for the wide functional facilities along with pocket-size dimensions. One of the peculiarities found in these products is a modified memory subsystem: instead of a traditional hard drive, Zotac implements a high-performance SSD with mSATA interface.



Models AD13 and AD13 PLUS employ AMD Hudson-M3L system logics, A68M chipset and AMD Brazos 2.0 platform. The implemented CPU secures the support of 64-bit OS and hardware virtualization, despite the belonging to ULV class. Both nettop variations are equipped with 2048MB of DDR3-1333 memory type. The Toshiba Company has announced its latest external solid-state drives line, called Toshiba XS700. At the moment this series includes only one model of the 240 GB capacity. The device is produced in a regular 2.5-inch form factor; the framework height is extended, though. Dimensions are 95 х 75 х 11 mm, weight is 90 g. 

  

Toshiba developers applied the combination of the 3D BiCS TLC NAND microchip and the Phison S11 controller. The specialty is equipped with a front-end USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, and commutation is ensured by the VIA VL715 chip, which means USB-attached SCSI (UASP) protocol is also supported. Owing to such specifications the transfer read speed in ATTO Disk Benchmark reaches 530 MBps, while the transfer write speed – 480 MBps.

The set offers two modules of the 8 GB capacity. Thus, the total volume comes to 16 GB. The novelty is tested as part of a system, based on the MSI Z370I Gaming Pro Carbon AC and the Intel Core i7-8700K processor of the Coffee Lake (6 computing cores; 3.7–4.7 GHz) generation.
