The Highly Effective Galax GeForce GTX 1050 OC Graphics Accelerator

The Galax Company is ready to release the GeForce GTX 1050 OC graphics accelerator with a slight factory overclock.

This graphics card is based on the 14 nm Pascal GP107 graphics chip and features 640 streaming processors. The base and boosted core frequencies correspond to 1,366 and 1,468 MHz comparing to 1,354 and 1,455 MHz of reference units. There are 2 GB of GDDR5 memory with a 128-bit bus and with the frequency of 7,008 MHz. Being a Pascal-based device, this specialty is designed with FinFET technology and supports DirectX 12 for the fast and smooth gaming session.

The graphics accelerator is equipped with a one-fan cooling system (the diameter of the cooler is 90 mm). Displays can be connected via such ports, as DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort. The product takes two expansion slots in the chassis.

Galax GeForce GTX 1050 OC will be on sale since 23rd of December at the approximate price of $140.

Kingston and Adata Come up with M.2 SSDs

Within the framework of Computex 2014 both Kingston and Adata are going to introduce their fresh SSD series of M.2 form-factor. In keeping with the manufacturers’ words, the products – SM2280S2 and SR1020NP — are differentiated by some spectacular performance. At present the companies provide only basic info about the drives, leaving their fans in suspense.

Kingston SM2280S3 is based on Phison PS3108 that supports SATA 6 Gb/sec interface only. It ensures 540 MB/sec and 514 MB/sec speed on sequential Read/Write operations. For sure, it’s not the performance innovative M.2 drives should demonstrate (about 10 Gb/sec), although the model considerably surpasses traditional HDDs in this respect.

This SSD series is represented by three models of 120 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB capacity. All of them employ DDR3 cache-memory with the minimal 256 MB capacity. Besides, the difference in efficiency between other M.2 offers Kingston promises to compensate by a more affordable price.

Up-to-date SSD manufacturers are inclined to employ MLC flash-memory with synchronous interface in their product lines.   • DDSL – versioon broadband DSL tehnoloogia juurdepääsu liin Frame Relay ribalaiusega kuni 768 Kb/s.
  • SDSL edastab andmed ebasümmeetriline liin. Edastuskiirus võib varieeruda sõltuvalt sellest, füüsikalised parameetrid abonendiliin.
  • HDSL on suure kiirusega andmeside – 1.5 Mb/sek. ja rohkem mõlemas suunas.
  • VDSL – сверхскоростная digitaalne liin, mis tagab ribalaiusega tasandil 52 Mb/sek.
