Kingston Showcases High-Capacity SSDNow KC400 Drives

Kingston has expanded its SSDNow lineup of solid-state drives by KC400 series. It entails four high-capacity 2.5-inch models: 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB. All of them are based on a 4-core 8-channel Phison 3110 controller and SATA III interface. The new-comers feature 100.1x69.8x7.0 mm dimension only and are shipped with a 5-year’s limited warranty.

Kingston SSDNow KC400 drives support SmartECC technology that serves for the maximal protection of data purposes. In addition, they accommodate SmartRefresh technology that saves the data from reading errors. The availability of onboard dedicated software ensures that the models could restart after emergency power shutdown.

All SSDs boast quite high cumulative volume of written data. The drives are able to operate in a wide range of temperatures (from -40 to +85). Their maximal power consumption index equals to 3.74 W on reading and 0.255 W in idle mode.

Moreover, the KC400 series offers unprecedented performance showings:
— KC400 128 GB: sequential Read/Write speed – 550/450 MB/sec, random Read/Write speed (4K) – 88.000/87.000 IOPS, cumulative volume of written data – 150 TB;
— KC400 256 GB: sequential Read/Write speed – 550/540 MB/sec, random Read/Write speed (4K) – 88.000/89.000 IOPS, cumulative volume of written data – 300 TB;
— KC400 512 GB: sequential Read/Write speed – 550/530 MB/sec, random Read/Write speed (4K) – 86.000/88.000 IOPS, cumulative volume of written data – 800 TB;
— KC400 1 TB: sequential Read/Write speed – 550/530 MB/sec, random Read/Write speed (4K) – 86.000/89.000 IOPS, cumulative volume of written data – 1600 TB.
