Inno3D launches video cards iChill GTX 680/670 LCS

Hong Kong manufacturer of graphics cards Inno3D announced the delivery of two fresh products based on the base of the graphics core Nvidia GK104 and the original cooling system Arctic Accelero Hybrid, — iChill GTX 680 iChill GTX and LCS 670 LCS.



It should be noted that the models Inno3D iChiLL Black Series GeForce GTX 680 Accelero Hybrid and Inno3D iChiLL Black Series GeForce GTX 670 Accelero Hybrid withdrawal of excess heat is engaged in a hybrid cooler ARCTIC Accelero Hybrid. New models use NWO Danish contractor Asetek to cool the GPU. It includes a water block with copper base and a built-in pump, rubber tubes that extend to the radiator, and 120-mm fan with PWM speed control. Batteries and GDDR5 memory chips are covered with a flat radiator (PA plate) in black, which is blown by 80-mm fan attached to three slot casing.

Gigabyte Shows Off a Bespoke GTX 970 Graphics Card

Gigabyte has intrigued its fans by the design of an unusual videocard – the GeForce GTX 970 (GV-N970TTOC-4GD). It is based on Nvidia GM-204-200-A1 GPU (Maxwell) but with overclocked frequencies. The core operates at 1101 MHz/1241 MHz instead of etalon 1050 MHz/1178 MHz. The GPU is accompanied with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory (256-bit bus) that runs at 7010 MHz efficient clock frequency.



Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 is distinguished by the implementation of Twin Turbo Fan cooling system. It consists of three copper heatpipes with direct touch technology, an aluminum heatsink, and a radial-flow fan; the latter grasps air from both sides of the adapter due to the shortened PCB design.


As a result, the airflow increases by 24%, whereas the cooling effect enhances by 29%. Thanks to this, the card is thought to be an optimal solution for Nvidia SLI configurations.

Kingston and Adata Come up with M.2 SSDs

Within the framework of Computex 2014 both Kingston and Adata are going to introduce their fresh SSD series of M.2 form-factor. In keeping with the manufacturers’ words, the products – SM2280S2 and SR1020NP — are differentiated by some spectacular performance. At present the companies provide only basic info about the drives, leaving their fans in suspense.



Kingston SM2280S3 is based on Phison PS3108 that supports SATA 6 Gb/sec interface only. It ensures 540 MB/sec and 514 MB/sec speed on sequential Read/Write operations. For sure, it’s not the performance innovative M.2 drives should demonstrate (about 10 Gb/sec), although the model considerably surpasses traditional HDDs in this respect.


This SSD series is represented by three models of 120 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB capacity. All of them employ DDR3 cache-memory with the minimal 256 MB capacity. Besides, the difference in efficiency between other M.2 offers Kingston promises to compensate by a more affordable price.
