Iiyama Launches X4070UHS Monitor with an Unusual Base

Iiyama Corp. is not used to sit idly, delivering ever newer visual solutions. This time the company launches a 39.5-inch PC monitor with a nontrivial stand. The ProLite X4070UHS model rests on two demountable racks, instead of a single central column. Nevertheless, the display supports well-loved facilities, such as Picture-in-Picture mode and POP (split of the screen into four windows). It features a pure black case and a high gloss screen coating.



Iiyama X4070UHS is based on MVA panel with LED backlight. It is thought to support Ultra HD/4K resolution (3840x2160 pixels) as well as 5000:1 static contrast. Besides, the model ensures 350 cd/m2 brightness, the display of 16.7 million colors, the widest possible viewing angles (178/178 degrees in both aspects), and ultrafast response time – 4 ms (GtG environment).

PNY to Release Brand Card Reader Series

PNY company has established a global reputation for manufacturing various hardware components, among which are memory and video cards. Currently, the company decided to add a new product to their product lineup – card reader device. The release will be marked by the appearance of two models simultaneously, codenamed CR001 and UH001. The customers who choose CR001 will have an opportunity to choose between red and blue color casings. In its turn, UH001 model can operate as a four-port hub.



PNY CR001 will be able to support the following memory cards types: Memory Stick Pro Duo, Memory Stick Micro, SDHC, MicroSDHC, MMCplus, CompactFlash, and xD-Picture. Nevertheless, this model will not support SDXC memory cards. CR001 is based on high-end controller which allows achieving the level of performance equaling to 1000 IOPS on reading and writing activities.

Radeon Vega Frontier Edition by AMD Is a Professional Solution of the Radeon PRO Line

At the Financial Analyst Day 2017 event, AMD has presented Radeon Vega Frontier Edition, which is a video card from the Radeon PRO family.



The novelty is a professional solution, based on the Vega GPU with 64 computing units (4096 streaming processors). It offers 16 GB of HBM2 memory (High Bandwidth Cache). The memory bandwidth claimed is 480 GB/sec. Single precision compute performance (FP32) is 13 TFLOPS, and the half-precision compute performance (FP16) is 25 TFLOPS. Regarding this data, one can assume that GPU frequency comes up to 1,586 MHz.


According to AMD announce, Radeon Vega Frontier Edition is a device, meant for such tasks as games and VR content development, visualisation and machine learning.


A good news is that the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition graphics cards delivering starts in June this year. The price is unknown yet, however, we should remember, that we are talking about a professional device, which most likely will cost pretty much.
