MSI, worldly-known producer of computer hardware and consumer electronics, does not allow its competitors to recover breath and rest on their laurels. Its new motherboard MS-9893 has been already presented to the public and is supposed to exceed the rival products in video performance and power consumption aspects. The new model is based on Intel Atom platform which is known for its power-saving characteristics and advanced performance. MS-9893 is able to work with the two models from Intel Atom line (considering the type of modification): Intel Atom N2800 and Intel Atom D2550.
MS-9893 is developed in mini-ITX form factor and is equipped with VGA, HDMI, and LVDS video outputs. The support of high-quality video in 1080P resolution standards is considered to be the major privilege of a new model from MSI. RAM memory is presented by a single 204-contact SO-DIMM slot which can accommodate DDR3 memory module of 4 GB in volume capacity and 1066 MHz frequency.
Transcend representatives has recently announced the launch of their new product 2.5-inch PSD520 SSD-drive. According to the company’s concept, PSD520 are destined to secure high performance showings as well as prolonged reliability. Such specifications were achieved due to the implementation of flash microchips with single-layer cell memory location (SLC). Those microchips are able to sustain up to a dozen times more rewriting cycles as compared with multi-layer cell microchips.

The lineup of tower cases developed by SilverStone has been replenished by a new price-efficient solution, entitled Precision PS12. The model features 405x360x170 mm dimensions and is ready to accommodate small-sized motherboards (mini-ITX, micro-ATX) as well as four expansion cards. The chassis is made of high-quality plastic, supplemented by a fine-meshed metallic grid on the front panel.
Inside, there is a single rack for the installation of optical drives; it’s estimated for two 5.25-inch units. There is also space for 4x 3.5-inch drives and 1x 2.5-inch drive.
