Trendnet Releases USB-hub with 4 High-Speed USB 2.0 Ports
Trendnet decided to gladden all customers who need additional extension facilities for their desktop or mobile systems by releasing a new USB-hub with four high-speed USB 2.0 ports. The hub, entitled TU2-400E, features 60x50x15 mm dimensions and owns CE/FCC certification.
Its main predestination is to connect USB flash-drives, MP3 players, printers, photo/video cameras, and other USB drives with desktop/laptop PC system. Moreover, the user doesn't need to search for dedicated adapters to enable the hub, since the connection is realized via a standard USB port on PC and a special elongated cable.
Trendnet TU2-400E works without any particular software or drivers. The basic thing is that the connected devices should employ USB 2.0 or USB 1.1/1.0 interfaces. It is powered directly from PC USB port. Also, the casing contains a socket for additional PSU which is able to supply power to all connected devices.
The model is notable by high data transfer speed that achieves the margin of 480 Mb/sec. At the same time, the hub consumes not more than 0.003W in standby mode and 0.5W in high-speed mode.
A new USB-hub from Trendnet supports Windows (2000, XP, Vista, Server 2003) and Mac OS (10.1-10.5) platforms. It employs 1x mini B type input signal and 4x A type output signal. The hub is able to work on conditions of wide range of temperatures (from 0 to+40 degrees) and humidity (5%-90%).
