Thermaltake Introduces Mid-Tower Soundproof Chassis New Soprano

Thermaltake proudly introduces a new series of PC chassis, codenamed New Soprano. The series is represented by two models: a model with totally white external casing New Soprano Snow Edition and a model with totally black casing. Both chassis are developed in Mid-Tower form factor and are a perfect choice for high-end systems with minimal noise effect. They are predestined for the employment with the motherboards of ATX and micro-ATX dimensional type.



The major privilege of the series is seen in the implementation of soundproof casing that saves the user from bothersome noise. The casing employs steel as the major material (SECC) and features plastic clipboard. The walls are covered by a soundproof foam from the inside and provide for the utmost silence facilities.

SilverStone Debuts with SST-ST30SF Power Supply

SilverStone Technology has recently introduced its newest SFX power supply unit. Codenamed SST-ST30SF, it features 125x100x63.5 mm dimensions and weighs 800 g only. The unit is estimated for 300 W power and is capable to demonstrate more than 81% efficiency in 230 V networks. High efficiency level allowed the model to gain 80Plus Bronze certificate.



The most uncommon feature ascribed to SST-ST30SF is that it can operate in passive mode if thermal conditions allow. The unit is equipped with a fan of 80 mm dimensional type; it starts rotating only when the surrounding temperature reaches 55 degrees. This promotes for a considerable power reduction and practically silent work when the fan gets disabled. An average noise level on active operation makes up 18 dB.


SilverStone furnishes the new entry with a single +12V rail, estimated for 22 A current. In its turn, +3.3V rail is estimated for 21 A current, while +5V rail – for 20 A current. It should be noted that this unit …

Meeting Soon: Two New Chassis of Luxo Series from Gigabyte

Gigabyte, a globally-celebrated PC hardware manufacturer, is going to launch two new PC chassis, embraced in Luxo series. The novels, designed in mid-tower form-factor, have been entitled as Luxo M20 and Luxo M30. Both models are housed in reliable steel cases (SECC) but have got some plastic insertions. Their dimensions are outlined as 440x192x430 mm. No information about the pricing or exact release date has been promulgated so far.



New chassis from Gigabyte are equipped with four pre-installed fans of 120 mm dimensional type. In addition, it’s possible to incorporate one more fan to enforce the existing cooling system. Traditionally, the products are available also for the installation of a liquid-cooling system; for this Gigabyte has drilled a couple of holes on the rear facet for the connection of water-cooling tubes.
