Vendors Present the Shuttle X1 Nettop as a Gaming Mini PC

Shuttle is well-known for its nettops, cases and barebone systems. In the meantime it presented its latest product – a mini PC under the X1 code name.



Despite the fact that a nettop cannot function as a gaming system, a pilot Shuttle X1 hybrid is developed to prove a negative. The novelty will operate the NVIDIA graphics accelerator, support VR content and 4K video.


Reportedly, Shuttle X1 will be based on the unidentified Intel processor. Vendors assure that by the time of release the chipset chosen will be one of the most innovative Intel solutions for devices of such a format. Customers should also expect Intel Optane support and presence of many interfaces for peripherals and accessories connection on the X1 chassis.

Prime cost for Google Nexus 7 is supposed to be $ 151.75

Issuing of 7 Nexus is a major project for Google Company. It is aimed primarily at promoting

the Tablet PC and Android OS, and not on the extraction of direct financial benefits. This is

an investment in technology and in the future. According to preliminary data the prime cost of

Nexus 7 was about $184 in U.S. for an 8-gigabyte version at a retail price is about $ 200. And

this is without taking into account the costs of marketing and development.



But now a study is conducted by experts, they estimated the cost of an 8-gigabyte version of

the Nexus 7 to be $ 151.75. A 16-gigabyte model is estimated by experts at $ 159.25 prise,

the difference is the memory module. Thus, the younger version of the Tablet PC is almost

unprofitable for Google and its partner ASUS, small financial benefit has only a model with 16

GB of storage, its recommended retail price is $ 249.99.

The Highly Effective Galax GeForce GTX 1050 OC Graphics Accelerator

The Galax Company is ready to release the GeForce GTX 1050 OC graphics accelerator with a slight factory overclock.



This graphics card is based on the 14 nm Pascal GP107 graphics chip and features 640 streaming processors. The base and boosted core frequencies correspond to 1,366 and 1,468 MHz comparing to 1,354 and 1,455 MHz of reference units. There are 2 GB of GDDR5 memory with a 128-bit bus and with the frequency of 7,008 MHz. Being a Pascal-based device, this specialty is designed with FinFET technology and supports DirectX 12 for the fast and smooth gaming session.


The graphics accelerator is equipped with a one-fan cooling system (the diameter of the cooler is 90 mm). Displays can be connected via such ports, as DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort. The product takes two expansion slots in the chassis.


Galax GeForce GTX 1050 OC will be on sale since 23rd of December at the approximate price of $140.
