FSP CMT510 Case – The Elegance of Glass

Introduction
The hero of today’s review is a sophisticated one. The FSP Group Company has a newcomer in the range of their cases - the case CMT510, designed for a motherboard of ATX size. CMT510 has three panels made of tempered glass designed to show off the system inside.

The company also underlines the presence of four 120mm fans with full-color LED backlighting. The mounting of the fifth fan is provided. It is possible to install a radiator of the liquid cooling system on the front panel.

In the case there are 3D-maps up to 400 mm long. The maximum permissible height of the processor cooling system is 110 mm.

The power supply is located separately in the bottom where there is special room for it. The case is designed for two 3.5-inch drives and two 2.5-inch drives. There are USB 3.0, headphone and microphone connectors. The size of the case is 491 x 208 x 448 mm.

The customers will give for it about 100 dollars.

Main Points
The FSP CMT510 comes in a fully colored cardboard box, which is really surprising and weird nowadays.

The FSP has three elements made of tempered glass - both side panels and the front panel. Glass "Galaxy Dark" is tinted and transmits light only by 50 percent. Despite the glass is darkened, but RGB fans are visible very well. The manufacturer was not stingy and equipped the case with four 120-mm RGB fans. Three of them are located in the front, and the fourth you will find behind. Optionally, you can install another 120- or 140-mm fan under the lid. Also in front, you can install two 140-mm fans if desired. Alternatively, you can use a 360-mm radiator. The promotional video CMT510 shows excellent water cooling. On the I/O panel under the cover there are two USB 3.0 ports and audio connectors. In addition, there is a button for controlling the RGB backlight.

FSP aims to attract gamers not only with the interesting design. The interior of the CMT510 is also perfect for a gaming system. It accommodates the ATX system with video cards up to 40 cm long and a processor cooler up to 16.5 cm high. The cooling system will cope with the productive hardware. The motherboard compartment is separated from the power supply. Two 2.5" drives can be installed on the partition between them, two 2.5- or 3.5-inch drives are located behind the motherboard tray. In the compartment for the motherboard there will be no confusion, since there are opportunities for cable routing.

In the case you can place a motherboard of the ATX, Micro ATX or Mini-ITX type. The maximum number of expansion cards is seven. You can use discrete graphics accelerators up to 400 mm in length.

Pluses and Minuses

To buy or not to buy – that is the question. Let’s consider some advantages and disadvantages.
The company offers excellent pricing for a case with a cool glass designing solution which can be met rarely, as glass is usually used for raising the price. Plastic is not used at all.
Four RGB fanА are included at once while purchasing, so the user doesn’t need to search around.
There is great amount of space for large GPUs and room for a 360 mm radiator in front.
The one will find a magnetic dust filter. The case features easy PSU installation through the back of the chassis.
But still there are some weak points. The front dust filter is too small to allow for unobstructed lighting. Also no dust filter in ceiling of chassis can be found. Many other models of cases can offer more liquid-cooling possibilities.
