Eurocom Corporation, a Canadian guru in gaming laptops segment, is glad to launch a new all-in-one PC, entitled Uno 4. This 21.5-inch device with 527x49x370 mm dimensions is primarily targeting enterprise market, featuring an optimized set of facilities for the solution of various business tasks. It is powered by Intel Haswell Core i5-4210M CPU, running at 2.6 GHz (up to 3.2 GHz on overclocking), accompanied by an integrated HD Graphics 4600 chip. Additionally, there are versions with Core i7 CPUs.



Eurocom Uno 4 boasts a multi-touch display with antiglare coating and LED backlight. It promises Full HD resolution and some striking color rendering. This all-in-one is equipped with 16 GB of DDR3-1600 memory modules, two HDDs/SSDs of 2.5-/3.5-inch form-factor with SATA III interface of up to 2 TB capacity. Sapphire Offers an Alternative Radeon HD 7870 GHz Graphics Card

Sapphire Technology, a renowned supplier of graphics solutions, has added an alternative model of AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition to its graphics cards model line. The new model is primarily notable by the integration of a two-slot Dual-X cooler that facilitated the process of entitling: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Dual-X Edition. This cooler consists of a voluminous aluminum heatsink, a couple of large fans, and a few copper heat pipes which are covered by a plastic lid.



Graphics card Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Dual-X Edition is based on Pitcairn chip with 1280 current processors; it is developed under 28 nm technological process and Graphics Core Next architecture. The core is able to operate at the nominal 1000 MHz frequency. Blue printed circuit board is the heart of the adapter. PCB is designed particularly for PCI-e 3.0 x16 bus and houses 2GB of GDDR5 memory with 256-bit interface. The memory is capable to achieve the clock frequency of 4800 MHz.

IBM, Intel, AMD, Cray, HPE and NVIDIA Have Been Awarded a Grant for Exaflop Supercomputer Development

The most effective supercomputer is launched in China today. The system, called Sunway TaihuLight, operates locally developed processors. The ultimate Sunway TaihuLight productivity is 125 petaflops. In 2020 China plans to generate the first system in the world with a capacity overcoming one exaflops. At present the USA stays behind, however American supercomputers’ energy performance is significantly higher.



The US Department of Energy has established a $258 million grant for cost effective exaflop supermachines construction. Six American companies (IBM, Intel, AMD, Cray, HPE and NVIDIA) won it. Now they are to create an architecture, able to consume 25–30 MW at one exaflop productiveness. Such a system’s deployment is to take place in 2021. Apart from funds committed, each member company of the Exascale Computing Project program will put up its own means, constituting around 40% of DOE’s funds.
