Gigabyte Unveils a Pair of Brix GB Mini PCs

Gigabyte has expanded its portfolio by a pair of mini PCs which entered Brix series. The GB-BSi5-6200 & GB-BSi5H-6200 are housed in compact cases (119.4x112.6x34.4 mm & 119.4x112.6x46.8 mm respectively) with a polished metal stylization. Both new-comers take a 2-core Intel Core i5-6200U CPU (14 nm) that is able to operate in a 4-channel mode. Its base clock frequency equals to 2.3 GHz, however during overclocking this index rises to 2.8 GHz.



Gigabyte Brix GB-BSi5-6200 and GB-BSi5H-6200 PCs come with an integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 GPU. Memory subsystem is represented by two SO-DIMM slots, ready to welcome 6 GB of DDR3L-1600 MHz modules. The first model features one M.2 slot for the connection of storage devices; the second model boasts one M.2 and one SATA III slot, accompanied by a 2.5-inch drive bay.

A Pair of New Graphics Cards Radeon HD 7950 Boost Edition from MSI

MSI has replenished its series of Radeon HD 7950 graphics cards with a pair of new Boost Edition models. Codenamed R7950-3GD5 BE and R7950-3GD5/OC BE, both adapters feature practically identical to the first two releases (of the very series) design. Nonetheless, the novels are known to support AMD ZeroCore with Boost technology that provides for an automatic GPU clock frequency boost on conditions of an increased computing loading. Dynamic clock frequency indices of both models are not so dramatic, since they exceed the nominal showings at 10 MHz only; still, the support of a brand MSI Afterburner utility enables a raise of frequencies to the required level.
