Mounting Tips

Deepcool Lucifer supports all updated CPU sockets of AMD and Intel platforms. The process of mounting begins from the installation of a backplate. The latter boasts the availability of a non-conducting film. For this, the user needs to twist in the screws into the appropriate socket grommets, which are further on fixed by rubber pads. This component is then mounted onto the motherboard’s reverse side; therewith, the backplate has only one preferable orientation.

Furthermore, the screws are attached to the stands. After this, it’s necessary to apply thermal compound, attach the bracket and screw the cooler. In a customary orientation the system does not prevent the cards in the first PCI-e slot. If the user decides to align the heatsink with the frontwards location of the heatpipes, he/she might expect the heatsink to cover the first two PCI-e slots and the fan to cover the other slots. Thus, RAM modules with high heatspreaders won’t match the layout.
