SilentiumPC Offers a Budgetary Fortis 2 XE1226 CPU Cooler

SilentiumPC, a comparatively ‘fresh’ player in the cooling market, has recently introduced a new CPU cooler for budget-oriented customers. Codenamed Fortis 2 XE1226, it features 130x95x155 mm dimensions and weighs 880 g. It is intended to support the majority of modern platforms, including Intel LGA 775/1366/2011/115x and AMD FM1/FM2/AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+.



The model is all about two-section aluminum heatspreader with a copper polished base, six U-shape heatpipes (6 mm each), and a single 120 mm fan DF12025. The latter is based on a hydraulic bearing and supports PWM technology. It is able to alter speed from the minimal 500 RPM to the maximal 1500 RPM. Herein, the ultimate noise level does not go beyond 22 dBA.


The DF12025 fan requires 12V rail and 0.2A current to be powered via 4-pin PWM connector. On the maximal rotational speed it produces 65 CFM airflow. Besides, testing results prove that this fan is estimated for about 50.000 hours of fail-proof operation.

The company launched two adapters this summer with the implementation of WindForce 5X system and now introduces one more card on its basis. Model Gigabyte GeForce GTX 680 Super Overclock can be called a paragon of efficient performance, overclocking and cooling activities.



Design


Graphics card GeForce GTX 680 Super Overclock features 295x120x64 mm dimensions and rather unusual design. Instead of common fans on the frontal board Gigabyte covered PCB and elements of cooling system by a metallic cover with decorative holes; the rear board is also covered by a metallic plate. The top board is only partially covered by the lid that hides a line of five fans, while the bottom board unveils a voluminous heatsink with heatpipes. The Compulab IPC3 Mini-PC with Passive Cooling Goes for 693 USD

One of the latest products by Compulab is an IPC3 mini-PC, intended for industrial and commercial use. The lowest price of the basic model is 693 USD.



Outside dimensions of the framework are 160 х 190 х 40 mm. Due to its exterior construction the case provides overall passive cooling.


There’s a possibility to install 32 GB of RAM, a 2.5” storage drive, an M.2 2260 SSD and a couple of devices with an mSATA connector. The novelty features wireless interface adapters along with two USB 2.0, four USB 3.0, two Gigabit Ethernet, a DisplayPort 1.2, an HDMI 1.4a and an S/PDIF ports. However, special modules will be able to extend this set of connectors.


The Compulab IPC3 Mini-PC operates an Intel Kaby Lake CPU and is protected by the five-year manufacturer warranty.
