Gigabyte Comes Out with Three New Xtreme Gaming Videocards

Gigabyte decided to supplement its Xtreme Gaming series of graphics cards with three new models, following the recent launch of 5 other items. The GV-N970Xtreme C-4GD, Gigabyte GV-N980Xtreme C-4GD and GV-N98Xtreme C-6GD greenhorns come with a modified design and adjusted clocks. The triplet is bundled with a brand OC Guru II utility to further enhance the cards’ performance.

Each model from Gigabyte Xtreme series boasts independent specifications to satisfy the needs of various customers. The only analogous feature is a set of integrated video interfaces: 1x HDMI, 1x DVI-I and 3x DisplayPort.

Gigabyte GV-N970Xtreme C-4GD rests upon Nvidia GM204-200 GPU (1664 CUDA cores), running at 1051/1178 MHz frequency. It is accompanied by 4 GB of GDDR5 memory (256-bit rail) that operates at 7100 MHz efficient frequency level. Gigabyte GV-N980Xtreme C-4GD is based on Nvidia GM204-400 GPU with 2048 CUDA cores; its base/dynamic frequency showings equal to 1127/1216 MHz. This model employs the same memory solution.

Furthermore, Gigabyte GV-N98Xtreme C-6GD accommodates Nvidia GM200-310 GPU with 2816 CUDA cores. It operates at 1000/1075 MHz frequency, however it is bundled with 6 GB of GDDR5 memory (7200 MHz, 384-bit rail).

All graphics cards are developed according to Ultra Durable VGA design that stipulates the usage of more copper in different PCB layers. With the purpose to provide for the maximal cooling efficiency, the manufacturer included WindForce 3X cooling system that consists of a few heatpipes, a voluminous heatsink and three fans with LED backlight.
