Recently the AMD company hasn’t produced anything of such a high level but cutting edge Radeon R9 Fury X accelerator card as it paid more attention to the middle and low-budget segment. But finally after a long announcing Radeon RX Vega 64 and Radeon RX Vega 56 were officially presented and are being intensively bought.So what are their main characteristics?
Basic Features
No doubt it is a great step forward if to compare with the previous «Polaris 10» and «Fiji» graphic cards. The high-bandwidth cache controller (HBCC) is a serious improvement for using with large asset sizes, but gamers will also appreciate it.Vega RX 56 and 64 have 8 GB of VRAM.Newcomers have the Vega 10 processor in their base. It is a silicon with 64 huge Compute Unit blocks, general potential of 4096 streaming processors and speed memory HBM of the second generation. Vega 10 Processor is grounded on the most progressive version of Graphics Core Next architecture, that of the fifth generation.Now GPU has big Compute Unit blocks, which are called NCU (Next-Generation Compute Unit).Radeon RX Vega graphic cards can provide high quality productivity, are certificated for Oculus Rift and Vive, and support all the key technologies as Asynchronous Space Warp (ASW) for Oculus and Asynchronous Reprojection for Steam VR.

There are three types of the Radeon RX Vega 64:
-Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooled Edition is given water-cooling, accelerated operating frequency
-Radeon RX Vega 64 Limited Edition is featured by air-cooling, aluminum framing and highlighting
-Radeon RX Vega 64 has air-cooling and plastic framing
The younger sister Radeon RX Vega 56 is partially cut with compute units and is produced only with the air type cooler.
Also professional graphic cards Radeon RX Vega 64 Frontier Edition with 16 GB of memory were presented.
Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooled works on the highest frequency shifting of the GPU – the basic level of 1406 MHz. Memory frequency is 945 (1890) MHz. High quality cooling will maintain low temperature and will help to get rid of superheating. That’s why this version achieves the maximum productivity of GPU Vega 10.
All the graphic cards of Radeon RX Vega 64 series got the configuration of 4096 streaming processors and 256 texture units. There is a cut version of GPU in the base of Radeon RX Vega 56 with 3584 active core and 224 texture units. The basic core frequency is 1156 Mhz and boost is 1471 Mhz. The memory frequency is 800 (1600) MHz.
AMD has already shown one more new graphic card Radeon RX Vega Nano that will become the most compact one.

Such settings help to achieve the balance between productivity and power intake. The user can manually change the priority between economic feasibility and speed work. Three modes are possible: saving, balanced and turbo. Manual settings are possible too.
Saving mode can decrease the whole capability and heat output significantly, but in that case you are to suffer low productivity. Anyway not all games demand the best Vega settings.
Radeon Chill tracks out the gamers’ activity by counting the number of action and pushing the buttons. The highest activity provides the best speed work while low activity provides better energy saving. The user is allowed to put the maximum or the minimum fps.
The Relive function is very useful too – it helps to record the video in games. The video is developed immediately by the decoder and doesn’t influence the gaming process.

Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooled Edition has a solid covering. All the elements are covered by the water unit, tubes join it with the radiator which is blown by 120-mm fan. Covering has red logo highlighting and a button with R.
Limited Edition is featured by aluminum covering and highlighting elements like a logo and a four-square.
Radeon RX Vega 64 has no difference but plastic covering.
Price
The simplest version Radeon RX Vega 64 got the price of $499. The Limited Edition one is more expensive — $599.The recommended price for Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooled Edition is $699. Radeon RX Vega 56 will be sold for $399 and appropriately $499 for Limited Edition. But of course real prices will be higher.
