Ultrathin 2.5-inch SSDs from Biwin

Biwin America, Inc., a global manufacturer of solid-state drive solutions for client and corporate needs, has officially announced the release of 2.5-inch SSDs with slim-profile casings. It should be mentioned that decrease in casing dimensions touched upon all 2.5-inch products and series manufactured by the company, including Smart, Pro and Elite Series with SATA 3 and SATA 2 interfaces, as well as Drive NX and NuvoDrive PX Series with SATA 3 interfaces.



Previously all SSDs were developed in 9.5 mm-thin casings, but the current modifications allowed Biwin to decrease the dimensions to 7 mm. This is twenty-six percent less than with preceding models. Hence, slim-profile SSDs are applicable in more compact devices; they are destined to be installed in 1U and 2U server stands. New Biostar TB350-BTC and TA320-BTC System Boards Are Aimed at AMD Ryzen CPUs with an AM4 Socket

Biostar is well-known for its mainboards, and at present customers have a possibility to try the company's new products under the TB350-BTC and TA320-BTC code names. The specialties are aimed at AM4 AMD Ryzen processors. Despite different chipsets –AMD A320 and B350 – both models feature the same PC-board.



A refined structure of the baseboard is corrosion and high humidity protected, and the power system is able to hold substantial currents. The product has two DDR4 slots (32 GB in total). The maximum RAM frequency depends on modules’ number and configuration, however, the 3,200 MHz value is claimed for the Biostar TB350-BTC card and 2,667 MHz – for the TA320-BTC sample. Sapphire Showcases Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic Solution

Sapphire Technology Ltd. is going to release a new graphics card on Tahiti LE chip. Codenamed Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic, the card is one of the first models to use the newest GPU, developed under 28 nm technological process. The suffix 'GHz Edition' in the model's name witnesses that the nominal GPU clock frequency exceeds the index of 1 GHz.



The core of Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic is based on Graphics Core Next architecture and contains 1536 current processors. The card's inventory involves 2GB of GDDR5 memory with 256-bit bus interface. The memory modules are known to operate at 6000 MHz frequency. GPU operational frequencies are still not clarified, but it's possible to assume that on activation of AMD PowerTune option the card will demonstrate some outstanding performance. In fact, analysts dare saying that this model is the most efficient one among all other solutions based on Tahiti LE chip.
