Meet Three New Motherboards for Workstations and Servers from Gigabyte

Gigabyte, a global manufacturer of versatile PC hardware components, regularly updates its desktop motherboards product line, providing its customers with the most advanced facilities and performance. Still, the company is actively developing also a series of motherboards intended for the implementation into workstations and server systems.

Hence, Gigabyte has recently introduced three new models to replenish this series: GA-6PXSV4, GA-7PESH3, and GA-7PESH4. The users are able to create a really efficient system with the help of those boards in order to realize different computing activities due to GPU, CAD/CAE visualization or physical processors simulation.

All three motherboards are compatible with Intel Xeon E5-1600/2600 CPUs for Socket LGA2011 and take Intel C602 chipset as the basis. The first model from Gigabyte, GA-6PXSV4, features five expansion slots, including two PCIe 3.0 x16, one PCIe 3.0 x8, one PCIe 2.0 x1, and one more PCI. It supports up to 256GB of DDR3-1600 MHz RDIMM memory modules or up to 64GB of DDR3-1600 MHz UMIDD modules. The model is equipped with four network Intel 82574L controllers, four SAS 3Gb/sec ports, a couple of SATA 6Gb/sec, six USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports, as well as four SATA 3Gb/sec ports.

The second model, GA-7PESH3, is developed in EEB form-factor and supports analogous to the previous model memory types. Expansion slots are represented by three PCIe 3.0 x8 and four PCIe 3.0 x16 ports. Connection to various drivers is realized via various interfaces: SATA 3Gb/sec x4, SATA 6 Gb/sec x2, SAS 6Gb/sec, USB 3.0 x8 and USB 2.0 x6 ports. In addition, this motherboard is furnished with a pair of gigabit network Intel 82574L controllers.

Finally, motherboard GA-7PESH4 resembles design and facilities integrated in GA-7PESH3 model. Although, it has got some peculiar features. It accommodates only five expansions slots, four network controllers, eight SAS 6Gb/sec, eight SATA 3Gb/sec, two SATA 6Gb/sec, and six USB 2.0 ports. It should be noted that this models does not support USB 3.0 interface.
