Cooler Master MasterCase H500P – New Round of a Big-Name Company

Introduction
The Cooler Master Company has become popular due to its successful line of HAF cases. HAF means High Air Flow – this technology provides a good ventilation scheme. Cases of this line have transparent panels and nothing blocks the air. The 200 mm fans hold the needed temperature.
Being in great request in 2014 the technology has moved from one model to another. The case we are talking about today is not from this very line, but still is very close.

Packaging
The combination of black and purple colors has always been the hallmark of the Cooler Master brand, because their presence on the product box is more than expected. The front part shows the case itself, and on the reverse one you can see it, but in the opposite view and without the right side panel. There, in eight languages, all the main advantages of the product are described, and technical details can be found on the sidewall. Cutting handles for carrying are present and this is good, since this box has considerable weight.

On the top protective part of foam plastic there is a notch where there is a box with the complete fixture and accessories, and near by a double-sided adhesive tape the sachet with printed materials is pasted.

The package includes a user's manual, a leaflet with warranty information, a set of fasteners, an adapter from the 3-pin fan connector to the Molex power connector, a fan frame (it is required if you replace the front fans with a 120 / 140mm fan mount ) and several disposable cable ties.

Overlook
The appearance of the Cooler Master MasterCase H500P is very effective: let only one side wall be made of tempered glass, but acrylic transparent inserts in front and from above clearly add to the body of originality, emphasizing its main design feature - a pair of huge fans on the front.

The frame of the front panel is made of gray plastic, and the relief of the details on it gives the impression that everything is suspended separately and does not touch each other. Behind the trapezoidal acrylic window, two 200mm front fans are clearly visible, which, thanks to the built-in RGB illumination, are the main feature in the exterior of this chassis. The side window is tinted, but very faintly. That is, even with the case closed, the backlight is clearly visible. The slots for air intake in this projection are not visible, but they are on the sides, top and bottom.

External ports and buttons found their place on the beveled front of the top panel. There are two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, two 3.5mm headphone and microphone jacks, a hexagonal system start button (illuminated around the perimeter), a very small rectangular reset button and a strip-like slit indicator drive activity. Small inserts on the side are just decoration, but are very similar to the keys.

The air intake for the front fans is made through wide slits on the sides of the flip-down front panel. The holes are covered with a mesh dust filter.
The front panel is easily removed, giving access to the front fans.

The lower part of the panel is decorated with a relief image of the emblem of the Cooler Master.

The right side panel is made in a classic way. It is solid, metal, holds on two knurled screws, also it has a handle to facilitate dismantling. It is removed by sliding backwards and then tilting it to the side. Ventilation grilles in the front and top panels are also on this side.

The back panel of the case looks relatively standard. On top there is a ventilation grille with a pre-installed propeller (suitable format is 120 and 140 mm).

The internal parts of the case are painted black.
The case MasterCase H500P is suitable not only for air cooling. Under the lid and front, 280- and 360-mm heat exchangers can be installed. A spacious interior allows you to install a cut-edge gaming system.
Because of the transparent coverage, the perspective is not quite ordinary. In any case, there is enough space between the lid and the end of the motherboard for installing the heat exchanger - about 7 cm.
