Philips showed up itself with a new top-tier monitor, codenamed 272P4APJKHB, that replenished a well-known Brilliance P-Line series. The 27-inch model is targeting graphics designers, geodesists, photo/video editors, and digital prepress specialists. Moreover, the implementation of WQHD resolution (2560x1440) is thought to satisfy any professional and avocational needs.



Philips Brilliance 272P4APJKHB rests on IPS-AHVA panel with WLED backlight. It boasts fast response time (5 ms in G-to-G environment), 1.07 of displayed colors, 350 cd/m2 brightness index, 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit representing colors, 1000:1 static contrast, and 50M:1 dynamic contrast. Besides, the display ensures 100% color gamut in sRGB environment as well as 99% color gamut in Adobe RGB.

Asus to Release Entry-Level Radeon R7 250 Graphics Card

Asus has added a new entry-level graphics card based on Radeon R7 250 adapter to its inventory. Codenamed R7250-OC-2GD3, it is predestined to be employed in corporate and multimedia systems, which are bound to support graphics interface of various applications, play back video, edit photos, and to start unexacting games. The model features a bright design and some remarkable facilities that promise to make work and entertainment experience a delight.



Asus Radeon R7 250 is based on 28 nm GCN chip (AMD Radeon R7 250) that contains 384 stream processors. It runs at the nominal 1060 MHz frequency but can be overclocked to 1110 MHz; that makes 60 MHz more if compared with the etalon adapter. Memory subsystem is introduced by 2 GB of DDR3 memory chips with 128-bit rail. Their nominal clock frequency starts at 900 MHz with the possibility to reach 1800 MHz effective margin.

The single-board Hardkernel Odroid-XU4Q PC Got a Massive Heatsink Instead of a Fan

The single-board Odroid-XU4 PC by Hardkernel, released in 2015, has got its new modified successor, called Odroid-XU4Q, which allows to construct devices for smart houses and Internet of things. There are no profound changes, though. A new version obtained a rather large sized (40 х 40 х 25 mm) heatsink instead of a low-profile fan. Such a solution makes the PC operation completely silent.



The board is based on the Samsung designed Exynos 5422 processor; the chipset is built on the ARM big.LITTLE architecture – it has four Cortex-A15 cores with up to 2.0 GHz clock speed and four Cortex-A7 cores with up to 1.4 GHz frequensy. The integrated Mali-T628 MP6 controller provides graphics processing.


The novelty from Hardkernel features 2 GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, one HDMI 1.4, one USB 2.0, two USB 3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. The flash module capacity can be equal to 16, 32 or 64 GB.
