Gigabyte is going to release its latest elaboration – mini-ITX motherboard, codenamed GA-J1800N-D2H. The model is peculiar by the availability of an integrated two-core Intel Celeron J1800 CPU that runs at 2.4/2.5 GHz. In its turn, this processor boasts only 10 TDP level, so it might be efficiently cooled by a single aluminum heatsink, without fans. Upon the whole, the board is targeting entry-level desktop systems and comes to the market at the price tag of $60.
Gigabyte GA-J1800N-D2H accommodates two SO-DIMM slots, ready to house DDR3-1333 MHz memory modules with the maximal capacity of 8 GB. The connection of optical drives and other storage solutions is realized via two SATA II 3 Gb/sec ports. Expansion facilities are not so versatile but quite appropriate for a small-sized board: one PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot and one mini-PCI Express slot; the latter is intended for the connection of Wi-Fi module.
