Trend Micro Company which specializes in development of antivirus programs has published a regular listing of the most vulnerable software for the first quarter of the current year. Apple with ninety-one vulnerabilities heads the listing. It should be also underlined that Apple is the current leader in the quantity of patches released for the Safari browser. Oracle takes the second place in the listing of soft vulnerabilities; its quantity of vulnerable points approximates seventy-eight. Google with seventy-three vulnerabilities closes the listing compiled by Trend Micro.

IT specialists explain such high vulnerability level by the increasing number of gadgets utilizing this software. Huge customer base can serve the other reason for malicious attacks on software. The top three anti-leaders are followed by Microsoft. Its software counts forty-three vulnerabilities for the reporting period. IBM Company takes the fifth position with forty-two vulnerabilities spotted in the software.

The other observation of Trend Micro states that the quantity of malicious programs for Android has augmented dramatically for the past few months. Statistics witness of approximately five thousand new applications containing malicious components. Hence, with the purpose to protect the customer gadgets from intruder attacks, Google has started a large-scale security and prevention campaign.
