Intel Optane SSD 900P-Review of the High-Speed Memory

Introduction

In addition to this year's Intel Optane DC P4800X SSD for data centers and caching memory, Optane Memory Intel is launching a small series of SSDs for high-performance Optane 900P workstations. New SSDs based on 3D XPoint technology are intended for enthusiasts and professionals engaged in photo and video processing, game development, etc.

The Intel Optane SSD 900P is extremely fast thanks to the new 3D XPoint memory, but it's also expensive, as this latest technology is in high demand now. For more than a decade, Intel and Micron have jointly created 3D XPoint memory as a part of a closed secret project in1966. Developers still do not disclose the details of this technology, although third-party companies confirm the information that this is one of the forms of memory based on the phase transition (Phase-change memory, PCM).

Samsung QLED Gaming Monitor: Revolution in the World of Gamers

Introduction

 

 At Gamescom 2017 Samsung Corporation presented a large and very wide curved gaming monitor QLED CHG90. The novelty has already been talked for some time because this is really the first model in the world with a 32:9 aspect ratio, support for AMD's FreeSync 2 HDR-ready technology and a whole bunch of various additional "buns" for a rather demanding gamer audience. How much expectations were met, it will become clear very soon on the feedback of consumers, but at first glance the device really deserves attention. SilentStorm Icewind Power Supply Units by Sharkoon Possess 80 Plus Bronze Energy Performance Certificates

The German Sharkoon Company has announced the release of its new SilentStorm Icewind supply units family. This line includes three models with the 550, 650 and 750 W nominal power, featuring semi modular cables connection and 80 Plus Bronze energy performance certificates.



These supply boxes are able to put out 100% of their nominal-rated power at 12 V. SilentStorm Icewind products are secured from abnormal modes. The 135 mm fan, built on the ball bearing with automatic rotary speed control depending on the supply unit load, chills the devices.


Among other peculiarities of Sharkoon specialties, we should distinguish the nylon-weave cables cover and the availability of two colour variants (black and white).


SilentStorm Icewind supply units weigh 1.83 kg and have the following dimensions: 150х160х86 mm. The manufacturer protects its novelties with a three-year warranty. 550, 650 and 750 W samples got the €70, €75 and €80 recommended price marks.
